As a foster child who was adopted at an early age, I’m very excited to post that this years “A Home for the Holidays” celebration will be televised on CBS this Friday, December 22, 2023 at 8pm as well as on Paramount + live streamed.

One thing that makes this year different is that a few months ago my film studio was hired to put together a local crew to film the story of one of the families that will be highlighted that evening on the show from the Rochester area. Thanks to Chuck Moran, Dave Sluberski, Timothy Brown, Patrick Marsh and Jenna Blakeslee as the local crew who captured the local family’s story. 

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the special which raises awareness of this important social issue. For the last quarter century, the award-winning special has shined a light on the thousands of American children in foster care and has inspired tens of thousands of adoptions, moving these children into loving forever families.

Westwood Studio’s first project is a film called A Date for Anya, which is being created as a creative trailer to start. The film tells the story of a dedicated wife who, after coming to terms with her husband’s addiction, seeks to redeem him through unusual methods.
