She is described as a 5’4, 130 lbs teenage girl with brown hair, and brown eyes. She currently has three piercings on each ear, a nose stud, and blue acrylic nails.

Whenever you find yourself starting to miss someone you really loved…

But perhaps someone who just didn’t appreciate you.

Someone who just didn’t care about how you felt.

Someone who you loved so much, but someone who just treated you like an option.

Stop for a moment, and remember…

Remember the disrespect.

Remember all the times when your feelings didn’t matter and were invalidated.

Remember how your worth was completely disregarded.

Remember when your boundaries were ignored time and time again.

Remember what they deliberately and knowingly did to break your trust over and over again.

Remember all the times you begged them for the basics and you begged them to treat you as though they loved you, but they still refused.

Remember how it made you feel.

Remember just how much it hurt.

Remember how disappointed you felt.

Remember how betrayed you felt.

Because this was real.

This was how you really felt.

This was someone’s version of love for you...

It’s normal to miss someone who you once loved, especially if the love you felt for them was genuine and ran deep;

but it’s so important to remember all of the reasons why the relationship didn’t work out, instead of just remembering the good times and the happy memories.

Respect yourself by remembering how you really felt, because in doing so you’re honouring yourself and validating your emotions.

Use these memories that were your reality to reassess and reaffirm your boundaries, values, and what’s important to you in a relationship.

Remember that you deserve to be treated with respect.

You deserve to be treated with kindness.

You deserve to be heard with empathy, love, and understanding.

You deserve to have your feelings and needs cared about.

Maybe if people's heads weren't buried in the sand of ignorance and they took the time to understand, instead of judging and thinking it won't happen to them because they have the perfect family, life would be a little bit easier for people that do experience this! For family and friends who live under this shadow. The days of 'it' not being talked about or being taboo should be over. In the most difficult moments of life you realize who your true friends are, and the people who really appreciate you. Unfortunately, most social media 'friends' aren't true friends. They will send you a "like" here and there, but in reality they do not take time to read your status if they see it's lengthy. More than half will stop reading right here, or have already scrolled on to the next post on their page. I decided to post this message in support of all those who continue to battle with their mental illness. (Su***de is at an all time high). Now, let's see who will have taken the time to read this lengthy post right through to the end. If you have read everything so far, please "like" it so that I can put a thank you on your page. More mental health awareness is urgently needed. Just because you can't see it, doesn't mean people aren't suffering. Please, try to spare a little of your time with someone who may just want to talk (about anything). Talking can help us all to cope a little more, keeping things bottled up just makes it worse. Most people will say, "if you need anything, don't hesitate to call me, I'll be there to help you" but will they? I believe a select few of my friends will post this, to show their support for those who may be struggling. I normally don’t copy and paste things but this hit home for me. Thank you!

We grew up in the 50's-60's-70's
We studied in the 60s-70s-80s.
We were together in the 70s-80s-90s.
We got married or not and discovered the world in the 70s-80s-90s.
Adventuring into the 80s - 90s
We're settling in to the 2000s.
We became wiser in 2010s.
And we’re going strong into 2020 and beyond.
Turns out we went through EIGHT different decades...
TWO different centuries...
TWO different millennials...
We've gone from phone with operator for long distance calls, pay booths, video calls worldwide.
We’ve gone from slides to YouTube, vinyls to online music, handwritten letters to emails and Whats App.
Live games on the radio, black and white TV, color TV, then HD 3D TV.
We went to the video store and now watching Netflix.
We've known the first computers, punch cards, disks and now we have gigabytes and megabytes on our smartphones.
We wore shorts all through our childhood, then trousers, ep pants or mini-skirts, Oxfords, Clarks, Palestinian scarves, jumpsuits, and blue jeans.
We avoided childhood paralysis, meningitis, poliomyelitis, tuberculosis, swine flu and now COVID-19.
We've done roller skating, roller skating, tricycle, bicycle, moped, gasoline or diesel and now we drive hybrids or electric.
We played with the little ones
horses and checkers, ostrich and marbles, 1000 threshold and monopoly, now there's candy crush on our smartphones
And we read... much
And our schoolmates religion was not a subject...
We used to drink tap water and lemonade in glass bottles, and the vegetables on our plate were always fresh, today we get meals delivered
Yes, we have been through a lot but what a beautiful life we have had!
They might describe us as “ex-annuals”; people who were born in this 50s world, who had an analog childhood and digital adulthood.
We should add the Biological Revolution that we have witnessed. In 1960, biology was very descriptive. We have witnessed the event of Molecular Biology: the molecules of Life have been discovered: DNA, RNA etc. When you see everything that has come from it: gene therapy, gene fingerprints, and others the progress is considerable.
We kind of have "seen it all"!
Our generation has literally lived and witnessed more than any other in every dimension of life.
This is our generation that has literally adapted to "CHANGE".
A big congratulations to all the members of a very special generation, which will be UNIQUE..
