We are thrilled to welcome Chris to the team! Chris is Auto Modeler’s resident 3D printing expert and founder of Scale Speed Garage.

Here's a little about Chris in his own words:

I created Scale Speed Garage to build a true community around 3D printing in auto modeling.

In 2019, my amazing wife reignited my passion for modeling with a birthday gift—a Revell Bronco kit. My background in 3D design led me to 3D printing, which was then in its infancy in our hobby. When the pandemic hit in March 2020 and I suddenly found myself jobless, I bought my first resin printer and started printing. I founded Bolide Plastic Motorworks and began selling my prints, but soon saw many modelers wanting to learn 3D printing themselves.
Thus, Scale Speed Garage was born—a unique club offering 3D files, training, support, and community. In three years, we've helped over 250 modelers, released over 3000 exclusive files, and fostered countless friendships within our community. We're just getting started!

Welcome to the team, Alex Melnychuk!

If you are a Big Rig builder, you have probably already heard of Alex. His work pulls down awards and he has been featured in Gear Jammer magazine. Auto Modeler Magazine is excited to have Alex on board to share his modeling experiences.

Here is a little more in Alex’s own words:

I'm 25, currently live in South Carolina. I've been a diesel mechanic for 5 years. I've been building model trucks my whole life, started with 1/87 scale then switched to 1/25-1/24 back in mid 2014 and I've been with it ever since. I currently have over 250 big rigs/trailers built.
