The 4th of July is coming, when many pets run away because they are scared of the fireworks.…let’s help our local rescue with insurance fees. This will help the pets that get out on the 4th, leaving open spaces in the shelter for incoming pets. Let’s help them out as they do so much in Moreno Valley and surrounding areas . Anything will help. Even 5.00.

Calling volunteers, we’re expanding outside of California! We’ve already begun onboarding radio scanners and reporters from Oregon, Washington, and Nevada but we still need more to cover the entire American West. watchduty.org/volunteer
As a non-profit organization we rely on volunteers for everything from reporters to software engineering; 60 to be exact.
The most critical to our expansion are radio scanners who listen to first responder radio communications and report on the fire as it happens. If this sounds like you or someone you know please send them to our volunteer page at watchduty.org/volunteer.
Or if your skills lay elsewhere such as legal services or software engineering we could really use your help. All of our software and systems are built to help support our radio scanners and reporters so they can hear everything and never miss a radio transmission.
Please refer to our volunteer job board at watchduty.org/volunteer for more information about volunteering and please share this with anyone you think would be a fit.

Today is a historical day for su***de prevention and mental health in the U.S.! The National Su***de Prevention Lifeline, now known as the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline, can be more easily reached by calling or texting 988, or chatting on 988lifeline.org.

988 serves as a universal entry point so that no matter where you live in the U.S., you can easily access 24/7 emotional support. You do not have to be suicidal to reach out. Our trained crisis counselors can help you through whatever mental health challenges you are experiencing.

We're so grateful to SAMHSA, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Federal Communications Commission, and our other su***de prevention and mental health partners in the field for working together to get us here, and we look forward to growing and expanding our services and supports in the years to come.

COMMUNITY MESSAGE⁣

In response to the recent home invasion robberies occurring in our city, we have a team of detectives and officers dedicated to investigate this uptick in criminal activity. As a result of their continued efforts, we have kept certain information about these investigations out of the public while leads are being followed up on, but will release some details when the need arises for our community’s help. In the meantime, we have set up an email for community members to send in any digital security video and information that could assist in these investigations. Our team is working tirelessly to solve these crimes and are asking for the public to send them relevant information, images, or video of suspicious people and vehicles seen in the neighborhoods where these robberies have occurred. ⁣

There have been four home invasion robberies that occurred in the Alessandro Heights and Sycamore Highlands neighborhoods over the past month. They are:⁣
▪️ April 10 – 7700 block of Kingdom Drive⁣
▪️ May 10 – 14100 block of Ashton Lane⁣
▪️ May 15 – 18400 block of Moss Road⁣
▪️ May 17 – 1500 block of Kyle Court⁣

If you have any relevant information, images, or digital video regarding these crimes or prior suspicious activity that could be related, please send an email to [email protected]. If you witness suspicious activity that is not an emergency but in real time, please contact our Public Safety Communications Center at (951) 354-2007. For crimes in progress or other emergencies, please dial 9-1-1.⁣

Here are a few safety measures you can take at your home:⁣
▪️ Keep your doors and windows locked whether you are home or away⁣
▪️ Reassess your alarm and/or camera systems to make sure they are updated and working properly⁣
▪️ If you see anything out of place or suspicious in your neighborhood, please report your observations to our Public Safety Communications Center at (951) 354-2007⁣
