A Percheron gelding that collapsed and died suddenly June 27 while pulling a carriage of tourists most likely died from a blood clot or cardiac arrest, according to a necropsy report by the Mid-Atlantic Equine Medical Center.

An 18-year-old Percheron gelding named Ice died June 27 "in a very public setting." A necropsy report indicated death was likely caused by a blood clot or cardiac arrest. No signs of neglect were found.
