2 years ago today we took our first couple’s trip with Shane and Hannah! Of course, it had to be a Disney cruise.

We sailed to Cabo, eating and drinking our way there, having a blast. What was less fun, for Shane and me at least, was fearing that our wives were about to be left behind in Cabo! Yes, after they split off to explore Cabo via tender boat, Shane and I hung on deck soaking up the sun with drink and conversation, until we were left counting down the minutes before our boat was leaving the port!

Fortunately, all’s well that ends well, and the ladies made it back in the nick of time and we can look back fondly on a great trip.

Our first co-modeling gig ever! 🤩

A few months back, Pottery Barn hired us to model for their new wheelchair accessible furniture line in partnership with Michael Graves!

We were very excited as it was the first time we’ve modeled like this together, especially on such a big campaign. And as you all know, we LOVE Pottery Barn!

What makes this furniture accessible, you may ask? Some accessible features include:
- 9” wheelchair friendly ground clearance under beds, dressers, nightstands
- Grab rails for grip balance and standing
- Easy to use one handed hardware
- Integrated armrest on bed frame to help with sitting, standing, and repositioning
- Built-in bench on bed frame that provides a stable spot for dressing
- And much more!

It’s also beautiful which is another reason why we love having this line in our own home!

Pottery Barn has been our longest partnership ever and we love their commitment to accessible furniture that’s beautiful. We’re excited to see where the line continues to develop!

It’s been 7 years since our first date! Pretty wild how quickly time has passed; I still remember it like it was yesterday.

Charisma really caught me off guard that night. I was super nervous, as all the dates I had been on were largely centered around my disability, my accident, and what rehab was like. I hated that. I never really felt like they were about getting to know each other, and that’s what I yearned for. Especially with Charisma, because man, was I crushing on her hard!

Sure enough, Charisma was different. From the jump, she asked questions about me as a person, and I got to know her as well. It might sound like what you’d expect on a first date, but oftentimes things go differently when you’re disabled.

In hindsight, it’s no surprise, because Charisma is just special like that. I feel so lucky every day that we found each other, and that’s 7 years later our love and friendship is stronger than ever!
