We proudly present "Viral," which was nominated for Best Use of Genre in the Richmond 48 Hour Film Project Horror event.
While we didn't win, we are honored by being nominated for an award. All of the films that were nominated and that won awards were AMAZING, and it's a great group of filmmakers and actors to be included with.
We're part of the best of the best, and we made a GREAT film!

This film was made for the 2023 Richmond 48 Hour Horror Film Project and was nominated for Best Use of Genre.

While Team Life & Death Richmond, VA 48 Hour Film Horror Project was nominated for Best Use of Genre, we didn't win. That's okay, though; the film that won 100% deserved it, and it really was an honor to be nominated along with all of the great films this year.
Yes, I'm a bit sad we didn't walk away with an award, but I will always be proud of our team and our film "Viral" for doing what so many people dream about:
We made a film from scratch, in a *weekend,* we turned it in, AND we were nominated for an award. We're amongst the Best of the Best in the RVA filmmaking and acting community regardless of whether we won or not, and I will always be proud of Viral and those of us who made it.

"Viral" premieres this evening, along with several other short horror films, at 5:00 pm, Bowtie Movieland. Tickets are still available!
All films were created last weekend for the Richmond 48 Hour Film Project by filmmakers and actors in the Greater RVA area, including us here at Team Life & Death. Everyone on every team worked incredibly hard to bring their ideas for original short horror films to life, and YOU can see what our local filmmakers & actors can do in just 48 hours.
Please support RVA filmmakers and actors and see a great show all at the same time. We here at Team Life & Death would also greatly appreciate your votes for "Viral" for the Audience Award!
There will also be a Q & A session after the films have premiered; if you have any questions about "Viral," the people who made it, or what the filmmaking process was like, you'll have the opportunity to ask.

A bit of trivia:
Several members of the cast and crew have been part of award-winning films and television series, including films made for the Richmond 48 Hour Film Project. However, we were all able to learn from each other and grow as filmmakers and actors.
"Viral" is the epitome of a collaborative project. The same people who stepped up to lead and do also listened to and learned from everyone else. Everyone who worked on this film, from old-timers to new folks, was an integral part of the team, and we all worked together to make it happen.
