Photos taken in 2008.

In 2009, I was given the rare opportunity to tour the 9/11 construction site as an intern at CNN in lower Manhattan. I remember how nervous I was as we traveled from the office to the site. I had no idea what to expect since I didn't live in NYC during 9/11. I was in high school when it happened and it still remains a vivid memory for me as for others.

That day it was just me and the cameraman who needed to capture footage for an upcoming 9/11 story and this was apparently routine for him. Before entering the site, we were given reflective vests and hard hats.
We were walked to an area where I believe was the first or first few floors of the One World Trade Center. Nothing enclosed us. It was literally just a massive concrete platform of open space. It was extremely peaceful considering being in the City, yet, felt eerie being in a spot where so many people lost their lives. I took a moment to take in the experience, carefully scanning the perimeter and the neighboring buildings. Trying to visualize what that day in 2001 must have felt like.

After the cameraman finished shooting a few b-roll shots of the site. We were taken down to an underground tunnel for additional shots. That was even more surreal with the darkness and dreariness on a bright sunny day.

I wish I would've documented the experience better at the time as it went by so fast but I wanted to be as present as possible. I'm forever grateful for this opportunity and was glad to witness history in the making. 💙

Have you ever wanted to become an expert in your field and the only thing stopping you is your fear of public speaking? I know I have (and it’s still something I’m working on). What if I were to tell you that you don’t necessarily need to stand in front of a crowd to perfect those speaking skills.

An easy way to do this is through video. And the exciting part is, you can do it in the comfort of your own home and have your voice (& expertise) heard--that is if you decided to post.

Recently, President Biden signed an executive order to direct Federal Trade Commission to draft new regulations on repairs performed by independent vendors. This simply means that it will become easier (cheaper) to get repairs on your electronic devices and other important things we use in everyday life too! Let's discuss!

Audio is super important! If you have terrible audio quality more than likely a person will not stick around to watch your video!

Here’s the thing, your video can look terrible, but if you have decent audio quality, that person is likely to stick around.
