Listeners, tell WOPG your yard sign preference
WOPG’s FM station was born on Nov. 3, 2010, the AM station transitioned to Catholic radio January 29, 2014. Out of curiosity a few WOPG listeners inquire about the number of listeners. Typically our response is “What are you going to do with that information?” They do not know nor do we; if only 1 person listened, would that be enough? We do know that there are many, many in the broadcast area that do not know about WOPG.
LET’S CHANGE THAT ! !
Paul, Laura and Tom attended the EWTN Radio Conference, traveling to Birmingham, AL mid October 2024. Based on discussions with a couple other EWTN affiliates the use of yard signs is a very cost effective marketing media option to reveal Catholic radio. With the help of listeners the signs will be installed in front of our homes, churches and with permission local businesses.
We are developing the yard sign image with the following objectives. The yard sign must acknowledge Jesus publicly. The signs are an evangelization tool. We are called to both, acknowledge and proclaim. A large succinct image and text message for drivers to tune their radio to WOPG. A smaller more coherent text message and QR Code at the bottom is to encourage pedestrians to listen on their phone or computer.
We request your prayers, ideas, likes, dislikes and hierarchy of message preferences. Help us make the yard sign better. Send email or call 518 478 0121. For your consideration a few yard sign ideas are numbered below, let us know your thoughts. Thank you !
