Swannee Rivers has been a contributing feature writer in The Renton Reporter, Seattle Times, Northwest Baby & Child, Campfire Girls National Campaign, as well as the Chicken Soup for the Soul Series where she also was actively involved in the selection of incoming story contributions for years. Her work has been featured on several online publications including Soap Opera Central, and Consumer Review.com. In 2008 she was a contributor for question development with New Play Media in their creation of an online Soap Opera Trivia Game. The documentary The Last Swing (2017 showcased,) the participation of this author and she can be seen in a 2019 episode of the Oxygen channel’s television series Criminal Confessions. Her children's literary works include: Fuzzy Ears and the Grocery Store Adventure (2020.) Zack the Yak's Mountaintop Adventure (2022,) and There's A Purple Jelly Monster In My Tummy! Swannee Rivers is a graduate of the University of Washington and lives in Renton, WA.

What is the best day to pamper yourself? Today! I discovered I can pamper sore feet. Read the Kindle, edit.pages, research on the laptop...Multi-tasking at its best.

As I prepare meals, I am always grateful that I am blessed with the things I need on a daily basis. Not everyone is, and I do not take that for granted. Sending extra hugs to a couple of dear friends in need of them at the wee hours...

Who doesn't love a good candle? Great way to settle in to some good writing time.

No matter how challenging the day is. I like the moments when I can stop and enjoy the scent of my favorite candle.

I appreciate when the season changes. Beautiful colors, delicious foods, and colorful candles that fill your home with lovely scents...

Sometimes when I am trying to do too many things at once, I love multi-tasking....This means I can keep writing before I have to lay down.

While I must write, a full belly helps me concentrate. Tonight is a pot roast kind of evening.

Alaska Cruise Part 2

As I reflect on the previous days, sometimes when you get a minute you just have to Blow The Whistle, and that is what kept the crowd moving at Vanport Jazz Festival during intermission. People living their best lives. Fun times...This author was glad to be a part of it.
