I have a client that came to me. She had a bunch of tapes that she had taken to a big name company. The first thing they did was labeled the tapes as damaged. I saw the tapes. I have run a lot of them already. I cleaned the heads of my machines. I tried different makes and models of playback decks. The majority of the issues disappeared.

My customer didn't leave me the disks they made but I am curious how much footage they actually recorded. The tapes have 6 hours of footage on them but they were ALL stopped out at 2 1/2 hours. Hmmm

I just acquired a new PAL playback device. I can handle VHS, vhs-c and mini-dv so if you have foreign camcorder tapes, I will take care of you!

It is always a gamble handing over camcorder tapes and old films with no label. I often find Peoples intimate moments that they forgot had been filmed/kept. In instances like this I work strictly according to the tape counter. I check the picture. I make sure that it began and ended taping. You can always count on my discretion. If you plan on taping anything please invest in a tripod and some clip lights. Lol
