As we get older society tells us that we shouldn’t have long hair, wear makeup, or dress appropriately for our age. WHAT?!? At this stage I’m in my ‘I don’t care what you think’ era!

I don’t need or want a complicated makeup routine. I do want to look good in my clothes and will wear that mini skirt if I want to! Or like today… stay warm in my sweatshirt.

When your in a rush to get to work spending 20-30 min on makeup just does NOT work. I’m all about simplicity so using for my makeup gets it done in less than 5 minutes. I feel compelled to challenge my self to 7 days of before and afters. They say it takes 7 times to make something a habit. Well working from home I tend to not get myself ready for the day. I’ll shower and put on clothes but hair and makeup… hardly ever unless I am leaving the house. So I’m challenging myself to get my sh@t together everyday (at least for the next week) and commit myself to doing hair and makeup (or for me grab a wig and put on makeup!)

So today- Sunday- being the first day of a calendar week seems fitting.

About last night… new years has been very different these last few years. Always home by 11 now … infact… after a lovely dinner at The Capital Grill… we were in jammies and cuddling the dog by 10:30 … and asleep by 11! A much better ending to 2024, than how it started.

Sometimes the lip & cheek colors in a tin can be off-putting. This one looks like 1980 is making a come back. Bright and Vivid hot pink in a tin. But it is surprisingly very very pretty. Does it scream Barbie? Heck YEAh!

I added salted caramel lip oil and the result is glorious!

I am so not into n**e lip colors but this one has my heart a flutter! While I still love my pop of color on my lips.. Daylily with Salted Caramel Lip Oil is STUNNING! 🤩

I can’t wait to mix this shade with some others for an ombré look.
