When launched, WKRPOnline (www.wkrponline.com) will be an online service that offers the programming of WKRP-LP ("101.9 WKRP"), a low power FM radio station in Raleigh, North Carolina.
101.9 WKRP is owned and operated by Oak City Media, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation based in Raleigh, North Carolina. While not a simulcast of 101.9 WKRP's transmission, WKRPOnline will offer the same prog
ramming, thanks to an exclusive license between Oak City Media, Inc. and WKRP, Inc., another non-profit corporation organized exclusively to provide the WKRPOnline service.
101.9 WKRP has broadcast since November 30, 2015 with a simple mission: to educate, inform, and entertain. When launched, WKRPOnline will have a similar mission, but will also endeavor to monetize its operations in a way that allows both 101.9 WKRP and WKRPOnline to keep operating. and WKRP, Inc., any "profits" generated through WKRPOnline will be donated to Oak City Media for 101.9 WKRP's operations. Those living in northeast Raleigh can listen to 101.9 WKRP live and commercial free over their radios, simply by tuning in.
