One of the reasons I am drawn to David Fincher’s films ( Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Zodiac, Gone Girl, Se7en, Fight Club , etc.) centers on how the process of research—and library research specifically—finds its way into his stories. This is especially true in Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Zo...

WE NEED YOUR HELP TO ACCESS THE CIVIC THEATER BEFORE IT IS DEMOLISHED
Friends: I have been trying over the past year to gain access to the Civic Theater before it is torn down, but have largely been ignored or brushed off by the City of Lewiston. I am willing to sign the same waivers of liability that others have signed to enter the premises.
I believe it is vital that we have one last chance to search the theater and perform final Luminol testing.
What we need from you: An email pressure campaign BEFORE the November 6th City Council Meeting. Below is the text we encourage you to use, so that we are respectful AND so that we stay on message. Feel free to copy and paste. You can also change the text a bit to personalize, if you would like, but keep it respectful and professional, and stick to the primary points. HERE IS THE EMAIL ADDRESS TO USE: [email protected]
When you have sent your email, please post back to this FB group with “Email Sent!” Between now and November 6th, we will randomly pick 3 people who sent emails to receive some free SRK swag!
Here is the message:
Dear Ms. Maurer—
As someone who is deeply committed to justice for the families who lost loved ones tied to the Civic Theater, I am asking you to provide the proper waiver of liability paperwork to Brandon Schrand and select members of the Snake River Killer Podcast team, so that they may enter the premises before it is demolished.
As you know, time is of the essence, so I am respectfully asking that this paperwork and process be fast-tracked so that a tour and search can happen by the end of November 2023.
Sincerely, ___________________

The last three weeks have left me somewhat dumbfounded. And to be honest, I had readied myself for that ki

Forty-one years ago today, Kristina Nelson and Brandy Miller were murdered. Steven Pearsall vanished from the Civic Theater, and hasn’t been seen since. Anniversaries like this one serve as sober reminders of what happened , even if we don’t know why. But it takes more than anniversaries to keep...
