Developing an application is a process that can take weeks or months of planning. However, here are some things to remember before you start designing or even coding it
️⃣ Define a Goal and Diagnose the problem (Be Clear About Your Objective)
Who is the target audience, and why should they care (Understand your user’s needs)
️⃣ Understand the user flow and how users navigate from one page to the next.
️⃣ Determine your application’s wireframe size. What does it look like on Mobile Phones, Tablets, and Desktop.
️⃣ Start with low-fidelity wireframes until you understand the user flow, application, and users have tested and approved the flow.
️⃣ When designing High-Fidelity wireframes start with creating in shades of gray. If it looks good in shades of gray, it will look good with color when you add color to it later. If you add color from the get-go, you might think something looks good when it’s just the color.
️⃣ Be assigning your colors to variables so when you do change them. It changes throughout the wireframe tool you are using.
️⃣ If you are working with a development team, make sure what you are designing can actually be done. Don’t throw in random metrics and features just because it makes the design look better. Only design things that have been architected out. Not hypotheticals.
️⃣ Please keep it simple until you launch your MVP (Minimal Viable Product).
️⃣ Don’t get lost in the weeds. It’s better to launch something sooner than later, so you can get feedback and reiterate. You could be spending time on features that might not be as relevant as you think they are
