It was a seamless couple of months working with the Black In Microbiology Association thanks to our POC Jessica Watts. COW HEAVY AND FLORAL is a thought-provoking story about a new mother reexamining her identity, told uniquely through a 4-split screen format.
Synopsis: A woman who is equal parts a mother (COW), writer (HEAVY), person (AND), and a dreamer (FLORAL) feels the world closing in on her. Her baby hasn’t pooped in a few days, she has a writing deadline coming up, she has writer’s block but also can barely find the time needed to write, and has erratic, nonsensical dreams in the few hours she manages to sleep. We see her identity crisis play out across the 4 frames in the days leading up to her deadline. What will she look like on the other side?

Our latest video premiered at 2021 catches a glimpse of what the UNC Cores have to offer.

Research in biomedical sciences requires expensive instrumentation and very streamlined and specific expertise on an array of technologies. Labs cannot house every technology they need for their experiments. What comes to their aid? A shared resource model called 'Core Facilities' - independent entities with specialized equipment and expertise available for all.

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill houses more than 70 such biomedical core facilities across 6 Schools and multiple departments.

Featuring - footage from over 20 cores and insights from over 10 scientists.

In this latest video we made for UNC Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, we showcase the diverse community, research, and state-of-the-art facilities of one of the leading research departments in the world.

It was a pleasure working with the team of faculty, staff, post-docs and students to make this video happen. Being on the other side of science and looking at it from a bird's-eye view has been an incredible experience, to say the least. From the first day of shoot in April to the release last week, this was quite the journey!

In honor of , we are excited to share glimpses of joy and freedom reflected in our community's faces!

Le***an, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning (LGBTQ+) Pride Month is celebrated nationally and locally in the United States each year in the month of June, in memory of the Stonewall Riots that occurred in June of 1969. Attendees of the Stonewall Inn in New York City clashed with anti-LGBTQ police, and marches and protests emerged in major US cities in June of the following year to commemorate the event.

The fight towards equality needs all your support, including straight allies whose support for LGBTQ+ people strengthens the entire community.

Event - PRIDE Food Truck Rodeo and Dance Party, organized by the Town of Carrboro, NC, Town of Chapel Hill, Chapel Hill - Carrboro NAACP and Present Day on Main on June 24, 22021.

to 5 years ago at the premiere of our first documentary

That time was a side hustle but this project had taken 8 days to shoot, and 2 years to edit, along with a full time science job.

We had traveled back to our alma mater to screen this film at .

This project will always be special to us - not only did we tell someone's story for the first time through our lens, but were also able to generate a lot of discussion on a topic much needed to be talked about - sexual harrassment of women in India. We will forever remain thankful to Prachi Arora for sharing her story with us, so beautifully through her art form - dance.
