Against the Odds Magazine, ATO Magazine ATO Magazine explores military history from both up-close and far away, placing battles in the conte

We offer games on a wide range of historical periods, from early chariot battles to Vietnam and the "6 Day War." While heavily involved with WW2 subjects, we are getting more and more American Civil War and American Revolution titles in. We achieved the "Wargame Vault" counter sheet. This is not final art, but it gives an idea of how much fun this will be. Working on making it even BETTER!

Next up, what one backer called "the Oddball Fighters." The Peashooter, a Japanese floatplane fighter (Pete), a PT-17 converted for combat!, and the Army variant of the SBD Dauntless.

One of the most famous (and misunderstood) episodes of WW2 was the 'final attack' by the Germans, trying to seize the last blocks of Stalingrad. Many of us have an image of some sort of specially trained "assault engineers" that were fresh troops, sent in from far away. That's not the reality.
Nice look at the episodes from both sides.

Remember the oddities of "Collective Names?"

"A gaggle of geese." "A murder of crows." "A parliament of owls."
Well, the boss-- who already picked up the term "black swans" to label our collection of small, hard to find games-- found out that a 'collective' of swans is an "Eyrar." (Though that is probably NOT specifically a collection of BLACK swans!)

Anyway, he put together a collection of our very special bonus games so that folks who missed them have one more chance. It's his "Eyrar," and they are sweet. While we can't pronounce it, we know a good thing when we see one. We've put a description about each game with the photo for that game. Exciting news on Update 9, great for veteran FW players, and something sweet for the newcomers.

If you've been around Fighting Wings, you know that JD has posted a number of additional Aircraft Data Cards available for inexpensive download from "Wargame Vault." A chap named Barry Brown made up a nice counter sheet that provided examples of all these. Most are new planes (outside any of the published FW titles) and a few are re-visits or re-evaluations of planes that have been in FW titles-- especially the very early ones. This "counter sheet" is very nice, including some cool color schemes for the planes, but just art-- not printed and die cut.

That can change. The 52K Stretch Goal will be including one of these (over 200 counters) with every kickstarter copy.
Here is a small sample: (copyright Barry Brown)

And there is a VOTE on what stretch goal follows the counters-- it could be four MORE interesting planes + scenarios (including the P-26 'pea shooter' and a Japanese float plane fighter), OR a Khalkhin Gol pack with planes and scenarios. (And if we do well, you can have BOTH!)
