This Hoya carnosa krimson queen has beautiful leaves that have a variety of different patterns. I’m really loving hoyas (as you can see) and would love to collect large, full pots of them!⠀

✨Plant tips: Hoyas like chunky soil mixes and mine has some coconut coir mixed in to make it extra light and airy. Hoyas love bright light and can even stand to have some direct sunlight once in a while. I really think spring time is the right time to see new growth for lots of hoyas! Also, to my understanding, hoya roots don’t love being in terra cotta, but I also do not want to disturb its roots at this time! 🌿⠀

Silver string of glory 🤍 sweet silver hearts (that are shaped like butts) always make me smile. Tiny baby hearts at the ends of its chains are so cute, and they grow into larger hearts in several days! It makes me think that spreading a bit of kindness can be such a small act, but it grows into more and more kindness with time.

Let’s spread love, care, good energy and kindness to those around us. They may be needing just a bit of love 💗 ✨ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀ ⠀

💧 Care tips: This plant likes to be lit from the top so its hearts can get a lot of light, and thus convert it into energy to grow more hearts. I have it on my west facing windowsill with its tendrils wrapped around in the pot so they all get maximum bright light. I water from the bottom when she’s dry, but it’s not necessary! ⠀ ⠀ ⠀

Pilea peperomioides- also known as the UFO plant or my favorite, the friendship plant 👩‍❤️‍👩

This is the first plant 🌱 that I really wanted and researched ways to keep it alive because I used to literally kill every houseplant I owned (now I know it was due to overwatering almost all of them). ⠀

When your pilea is really happy, she births babies that can be easily propagated so you have even more pileas! Then you can give them to your friends and make them happy 😊 Sharing plants is a great way to spread joy and give cheer to those who may want something to care for, like a little baby plant 🌈

Care tips: I’m going to say this about a LOT of my plants. When you water your pilea, let the water drain out completely and dry out between waterings. Use a well draining potting soil (not a just your bag of regular MiracleGro potting soil, it retains too much moisture!) because we want to give the roots some air to breathe. Rotate your plant so the leaves get an even amount of sun ☀️ and grow out evenly all around!

As 2024 draws to a close, I want to say thank you for all of the personal growth, the tribulations, the strength, the intense feelings, and all of the self-healing that came from being hurt over and over again.

I learned a lot about humans this year. I learned why others function the way they do, and how their actions and behaviors are a self-reflection of their inner selves, including their pain and processing.

I learned more about why my childhood traumas shaped me into the person I am today. And I feel lucky. Lucky because I can look at my inner child with love and understanding.

I am consistently growing, making mistakes, and trying my best to forgive myself. It’s an ongoing journey and I hope wherever you are in your path, you can treat yourself with gentleness and love too.

Happy almost 2025. We made it!

I’ve heard running a business is hard. Never did I imagine that it would be THIS hard. I’m not saying this to discourage anyone out there who wants to start a business. Do it!

But be prepared, it will affect your personal life in ways that you’ve never expected or wished for. Make sure you have great support systems, or learn how to only rely on yourself. Hopefully with time, you’ll meet good people along the way who understand you.

Happy Monstera Monday! ✨

This is a Monstera adansonii. Each leaf has unique fenestrations making it a visually appealing plant to look at. I have these cuttings rooting in a bowl and a large 4 foot pole of them in my home. They’re vigorous growers when given the right conditions 🌱⠀

Painted lady philodendron 💃🏼With her marbley leaves and bright pink stems, she’s a stunner ✨ ⠀⠀

✨Plant tips: Like all of my philodendrons, this plant likes bright light (no direct sunlight), humidity, and well draining soil. I make my own soil mix and it has horticultural charcoal, orchid bark, perlite, worm castings, mosquito bits, and organic potting soil. I let it fully dry out in between watering it deeply. 🌱⠀⠀

This is one of my most prized plants! It’s the smallest, tiniest monstera albo variegata that the universe led to me. 🌌Since the last time I posted this cutie, it grew a whole new leaf that is also a half moon 🌙 ! They are so cute together 🥺 ⠀

Care tips 🌱: This baby plant is still in sphagnum moss and is sitting on a heat mat. I check to see if the sphagnum is dry before I do so it doesn’t drown in my love 💕⠀

CARE: Even though look like they are actually so unlike cacti they prefer a good amount of water and don’t enjoy drought conditions. 🏜️

I love full pots of trailing plants!

Scindapsus silver splash 🪴 It features mottled silvery green leaves and a leathery texture. This pot had a few strands of Scindapsus exotica that I cut out of it. I found that to be a trend in some posts that I’ve seen on Facebook.

Plant tips: This plant likes humidity more than I thought. Without humidity, the leaves will really curl into themselves which is similar to the way it looks when it is thirsty.

Restock plants with me for my small business! When I choose plants for my business, I take care to consider ones that have done well for me here in the Pacific Northwest. This means that they have to do well with low to medium light. I also choose ones that I know are pretty hardy and pest resistant. I treat all of the plants that I source or grow with Big Leaf Energy from @blessyoursoil to treat/ prevent pests before I take them to my shop! I don’t love plants that are high maintenance or fussy. I like watering my plants 1-2x a month! These are my tips to save plants, find ones that match your care style! These money trees were likely gifted at the grand opening of this restaurant in Koreatown! However, they were so dry and sad 😞 The workers were extremely busy so I did not want to bother them. Instead, I pruned off the dead and dying leaves so that the plant can focus its energy on staying alive!
