This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk overnight...with an associated:
Limited hail risk...up to quarter size.
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 60 mph.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Early season heat will prevail today with afternoon heat indices
reaching the mid 90s.

Thunderstorms are possible overnight, especially along and north of
Interstates 88 and 290. Some of these may be strong to severe, with
gusty winds, large hail, and a localized flooding risk, though
the coverage of severe weather should be low. Higher severe
chances will be north of the Illinois Wisconsin border.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Wednesday...
Elevated Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Thursday and Friday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Monday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Scattered thunderstorms on Wednesday morning are possible and on
Wednesday afternoon are likely along and south of I-80. Some of these
storms could be severe with an additional heavy rain threat.
SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated due to the later night risk.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the east southeast at 35 to 40 mph.

There is a Slight Risk in Northwest Indiana, and Mirginal Risk in Northeast Illinois. so be careful in wednesday!

The Flood Warning continues for
The Fox River at Algonquin Lock & Dam tailwater, or from Johnsburg
downstream to Red Gate Road in St. Charles.
* until late Tuesday night.
* At 730 AM Thursday the stage was 10.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.5 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Tuesday evening.
* Impact...At 10.5 feet...Low-lying sections of Cornish Park are
inundated in Algonquin.

Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

Scattered to numerous showers and scattered thunderstorms are
expected into the early evening ahead of a cold front. With a
moist air mass in place, locally heavy rainfall rates are likely
under any more robust showers and especially thunderstorms.
Localized flash flooding will be possible for any areas that
receive a longer duration of heavy downpours. There is a
relatively higher threat for localized flash flooding north and
west of a Mendota to Waukegan line.
DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Monday through Wednesday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.
SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation will not be necessary through tonight.
