It was nice to see our friends at Boggy Creek Boutique again. Met them at their grand opening weekend last April.
Can’t wait to hang out with them again when we make the trip back for the 2024 Fouke Monster Festival.

Congratulations to John Vasquez and his Bigfoot short film "Awakened" for winning our first ever Filmsquatch "Bigfoot Short Film Challenge"!
We also want to give a shout out to the other films that were entered; "Chasing Bogman" by Mitch Laing, "Terror on Twin Mountain" by Michael Dorfman, Emmett Dorfman, and Maxwell Dorfman, and "Chasing Giants" by Randy Sage.
All the films were screened on Friday night in a special Filmsquatch block at the 2023 Lake Charles Film Festival.
John Vasquez will also be receiving a Filmaquatch prize pack and $200.
We will continue this challenge annually. If you have a Bigfoot short film, 30 minutes or less in length, you can enter it for free into the challenge. We will start taking entries in January for films that will be screened at the next Lake Charles Film Festival in 2024. Let us see all those fine Bigfoot shorts! Remember, watch your back... Bigfoot is out there!

Filmsquatch will be at the Lake Charles Film Festival in southwest Louisiana on October 6 & 7 presenting shorts that were entered in our first ever "Filmsquatch Bigfoot Short Film Challenge".
We are also sponsoring a screening of the Bigfoot feature film 'The Bogman' directed by Mitch Laing. Mitch will be on hand for a Q&A sharing valuable info about how he got distribution for his film and a pre-distribution deal for the sequel he is currently working on. He will also give tips for aspiring filmmakers that are wanting to make shorts or even features.
If you're in or near Louisiana, come join us for the fun!
