Pups Lady and Todd were found inside a home alongside their owner who tragically passed. The dogs were inside the space for 5-7 days before being discovered and rescued.
The Riverside neighborhood has rallied to help the dogs reset and now they are ready for a fur-ever home!
They toured the station today and brought joy to EVERYONE with their pawsitive energy. Their owner was a stellar dog Dad and took Lady and Todd EVERYWHERE, as a result they are very social and well trained, perfect to be your River City Socialites !

Yesterday Nassau Humane Society shared the story of this sweet 1 year old boxer mix Penelope yesterday. After being found and rescued, she was then surrendered to a shelter after she ate a stocking, she did not eat for 2 weeks and when the owners finally brought her to the vet and hear the issue, they could not pay for the surgery and surrendered her to Nassau.
Penelope is now in recovery mode post surgery and doing great, she's a sweet tempered little lady who loved pets and play time.

Friday is for food tips! if you were wanting to show your stuff on TV when it comes to cooking, I always suggest you bring two types of the same dish ! 🍴 Bring one close to camera ready, in case you need a TV magic moment at the end! Live TV Time can be very unpredictable and as much as the team will try to prepare you ahead of time, breaking news could always happen and you want to get to show off your final product! 🍴 Bring a second dish that is disassembled, this way you can put the dish together on air, offer some cooking tips, and (if the studio has a cooktop available) throw some things in a pan to fire up some action! I’m a BIG fan of rental clothing services especially for TV hosts and anchors because it lends a ton of variety to your wardrobe, there’s no laundry, and gives you that “add to cart” fix without adding to the credit card bill 😂 BUT sometimes you’re shopping vision isn’t always a reality, today I put on the dress that I ordered and it just wasn’t doing me any favors. @theborrowedbabes taught me we “never waste a rental” so I styled the piece so I could get a wear on air that complimented my shape more. @theborrowedbabes has allll the information you could ever want on rental services like @nuuly @fashionpass @bagborroworsteal or my work go-to @renttherunway

🎬 Mic up with me and let’s talk TV PAYING FOR IT - pay for play or advertorial TV often gets a bad rap, but as someone who came from a advertorial background, having more control over you’re message and targeted exposure or conversations can really help businesses that are trying to expand. Each news station is different, but many stations like ours have certain rules about what services can actually be earned content VS advertorial content. I get that free is free (believe me I like free) BUT if you are trying to get your business name out there, if you are trying to increase SEO and brand visibility (especially in a local market) OR you want more control over your message on TV - advertorial content can be a great option! 🎬 🎬 @torystorey right girl??

Mic up with me and let’s talk TV: One of the top challenges we have with Booking Guest is honestly… Just getting people to read. -Read where to apply for the show -Read the intake form so we can be prepared for their interview -Read the directions, address, or really any essential information that we always provide for guests… -Read… wait for it… the name of the show or even station 🤯 There is absolutely NO harm in asking for clarification, or asking questions, because OF COURSE live interviews are certainly a challenging experience. However, always take the time to read any information that you’re given by the production team before hand, and we’ll think you’re a bright shining star. 🌟 #tvtips
