The Real Legend of the Jersey Devil Comes to Life
Get ready to embark on a journey into the heart of darkness with "The Legend Lives: The True Story of the Jersey Devil", a supernatural thriller that's about to take the big screen by storm! This film is not just another horror movie, in fact it isn't really a horror movie at all, but a faithful adaptation of the real legend and lore of the Jersey Devil, set in the eerie Pine Barrens of southern New Jersey. Inspired by a true story, the production team, led by writer/producer/director Lee Albright, co-author Skip Rose, producer PJ Leonard, co-producer Jay Jacoby, executive producer Jason Brazeal, production coordinator Mary Lu Henry, and production counsel Eric Ascalon, brings the legendary tale of the Jersey Devil to life through the original screenplay written by Albright and Rose.
The story follows the Jersey Devil, a creature born in human form in 1735, the 13th child born to Mother Leeds, who allegedly cursed the child, saying "May the devil take your soul". According to legend, the child transmogrified into a flying beast with bat-like wings, cloven hooves, and God knows what else. And since then, the Jersey Devil has been living in the Pine Barrens, protecting his wilderness domain.
The screenplay is based on Jeremiah Watson's real-life encounter with the creature in 1938, after a long day of work. Watson's son, Jesse, now in his 80s, has been trying to redeem his father's name after the community had labeled him as crazy. And now, with the help of an amazing screenplay, Jesse gets the chance to redeem his father's name in this action-packed thriller.
The film features stunning views of the Pine Barrens like you've never seen before, and with the help of CGI artist Martin Davey, who has worked on films like "The Tale of Despereaux", "The Golden Compass", and "Harry Potter", the Jersey Devil will come to life in a way that will leave you breathless.
Starring Daniel Zacapa, known for his roles in "Chicago Fire", "Seven", and "The River", this movie is sure to deliver a performance that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The film features stunning views of the Pine Barrens like you've never seen before, and with the help of Karl Kim, our Director of Photography and licensed FAA drone pilot, the Jersey Devil will come to life in a way that will leave you breathless.
