Really, looking like 2-6 inches in wicomico county during the Sunday storm. So areas of the county will see less and some will see more.. will post maps later

Models are having the case of the Monday’s. Nothing is really agreeing as far snow totals go.

Historically, here on the shore(the lower shore). Most of significant snows come from low pressure systems diving south then tracking north.. As the low tracks north it pull cold air down and the moisture moves in and viola snow.

When, lows come from the west it pulls “warmer” air north from the south preventing. The change over.

So much like with hurricanes it’s all in the track... We’ll see snow but, I’m not ready to put a number to it yet..

Well, it won’t be a foot of snow. I do know that ;)

As many know. I’m pretty accurate on my snow forecast.. Keep an eye to Thursday evening for possible.. accumulating snow...

Anyone seeing the light snow?

01/11/2019

Well folks. First snow of the year and I have been getting text messages and phone calls on my thoughts of this storm.

Although this storm is very close in pattern to most of our “good” snows. It isn’t a true storm coming from the south.. Yes the low is coming from the south but, the moisture is being pulled from the west instead coming up from the south.

So I’m going to get to the point. As with a lot of our snows position is going to be key.. This storm will start as a rain/sleet event most of Saturday during the day. Then should transition over to snow in the late afternoon to early evening and will continue as snow thru Sunday morning.

I am predicting a solid 2-4 inches across all of wicomico county. Some portions could see more snow possibly 6+inches. While some spots may see 2 inches or less.

Updates to follow

09/14/2018

Expecting moderate rain for the next 16-18hrs. Then the rest of weekend should remain relatively dry.
