Sept. 10, 1974: The Hotchkiss School welcomed 89 brave young women to campus. For the first time in its history, the School became coeducational. Fifty years later, I was honored with the opportunity to design an exhibit—in collaboration with the School archivist—that celebrates the women of Hotchkiss and the School’s path to this achievement.

Designing The B is so much more than design! I’m pitching ideas, problem solving, and photoshopping... I’m meeting Billy Keane on a farm for a photoshoot. I’m picking up charcuterie and caviar for our picnic story. I’m immersing myself in the history of The Music Inn. I’m discussing color with Cynthia Wick, our featured artist.

So much collaboration, thought and time goes into this piece and I am so thankful for all of the support and love it’s been receiving! ❤️

Almost a year's worth of planning and design came to fruition this past weekend with the opening of Organized Escape at the Austen Riggs Center’s Corner House exhibition space in Stockbridge. The exhibit tells the fascinating story of Jewish psychoanalysts who fled Vienna through an orchestrated escape and their joyous reunion twenty years later in Stockbridge -- just down the street from the exhibit.
