First time making homemade English Muffins! I had a little helper with these🤣. I put a little butter and honey on them. So good! These would make a great breakfast sandwich.

We got some of the white stuff this morning here in Louisiana❄️☃️. I measured about 3 inches here in central Louisiana but south Louisiana got about 10 inches which is unprecedented. We rode around the neighborhood on the golf cart for a few minutes and retreated to the warmth of the house. We are not made for this. Burrrrr.

I had some extra cherry tomatoes that I didn’t want to go to waste so I made roasted tomatoes. Just drizzled with olive oil, parsley flakes, Italian seasoning, garlic salt and roasted for 30 mins. Store in jar with olive oil.

Rolo Pretzel Delights

Quick and easy Christmas treat. Lay pretzels on a cookie sheet. Top each pretzel with an unwrapped Rolo. bake in 250° oven for 3-5 minutes. Press pecan or M&M onto Rolo. Let cool.

Made Mama Sue’s Chex mix today. It is delicious and it makes a ton! Of course I had to put a Louisiana spin on it with some Cajun spices 😋

Made a Seafood Chowder yesterday using this basic recipe I wrote many years ago. I’ve changed things up a bit since then.

Added a little bacon grease to the butter to sauté my onions, seafood stock; lobster base, liquid and powdered crab boil, old bay seasoning, celery seed, onion powder, garlic powder, Greek seasoning, Fresh parsley, fresh thyme, bay leaves, 2 different kinds of shrimp, lump crab meat and crawfish and I used fresh corn. I also didn’t add the seafood until i had the base to the taste and consistency I liked.

Even better the next day😋
