A beautifully designed machine for it's time.

It was a bit of a problem in some scenarios getting trained cw operators, morse ruled and if you lost your radio operator ( in a war situation ) then it was a problem. The German Wermach started using Hellscriber machine’s ( invented in 1920’s by Rudolf Hell ) during the 2nd world war.The Chinese press agencies used them up to about 1993. It was not morse but an early digital mode.

The transmitter and receiver being used by the cw operator could be utilised for Hellscrieber with out any modifications. The tape receive system could be just plugged into the receiver headphone socket and the received signal read in plain language, most transmitters had their final p.a stage keyed by a morse key in the cathode circuit of the valve, so all that was needed was to plug the Hellscrieber into the key socket

It used to be used on the ham radio bands a few years back ( purely software ) but sadly not heard anymore.

Happy Funky Friday! A good day to promote my new playlist on youtube combining many of my youtube music videos into one "Philadelphia Music Archive", with many sub-playlists, such as Blues, Reggae, many Philly artists, and national events such as Amnesty International with U2, Peter Gabriel, the Police and others.

In addition to the PMA playlist I have organized the Yoga content featuring digitized recording of a local access TV show from the 90;s featuring Sivananda style Hatha Yoga with Bharat and Meeta Gajjar. It is now presented as the main Sivananda Yoga presentations, a second playlist featuring only Asana based shows (Postures), and a third playlist featuring Meditation , Breathwork, and Sacred Sounds (also called Kirtan). In addition I have started a new playlist where I will add my own videos demonstrating asana in conjunction with Meeta's class, and my studies with Dig Yoga and others.

Please consider subscribing if either of these topics are of interest to you, and you will be notified of new uploads.

Namaste.
