I've posted often about my association with Bharat Gajjar and yoga from my days as a student at UD, but I haven't posted about a second association with George Thorogood. A few months ago I decided to get my recollections down on paper and with the help of Jennifer Schelter and her writer's group I was able to begin writing a memoir about my experiences with George, themes related to the blues art form, and a history of the band as I was seeing them. In light of George getting an award from UD for contributions to the musical arts, and my late wife's birthday today, I have posted the first part of probably 3 blog posts. It was an enriching experience to participate in my first writing workshop with Jennifer and her group of experienced writers who provided valuable feedback and insights on each other's work. I recommend her to explore writing for creative expression.

Writing is challenging, and the process often mysterious and confusing. But if you want to live up to something deep inside that says “Write!” you must.

I was glad to hear that AI is on a successful track as an Entrepreneur now. What a ride he gave us. Near impossible to take down Shaq and Kobe and the LA Machine with AI and Mutumbo and a collection of gritty role players. Shaq pummeled Mutumbo like a rag doll, and well Kobe was THE Black Mamba for a reason. Recent struggles, even with the league MVP, show how tough the journey is.

Change can be hard to embrace, even in your sports teams. I wanted Sir Charles to be more like Doc, AI to be more like Mo Cheeks with a dash of Andrew Toney. I could have appreciated them more for their individual talents in real time.

Not making that mistake with this new version of the Sixers coming. Don't care if Joel shoots 3's and doesn't live on the low block like Moses. Let Maxey be Maxey.

We have potentially one of the greatest Phillies teams of all-time unfolding before our eyes. There were many years separating these teacher/student relationships, but it does amaze me that they shared the same birthday, the same city mostly of Philadelphia, and the same commitment to excellence.

It was quite a struggle to get this post done but with the help of DIVI Technical Support I was able to complete my mission of posting a synopsis and slide presentation of the book I used for my book report project for my recently completed 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification Program through Dig Yoga of Frenchtown NJ. I haven't tested in all forms, but on my desktop it looks good and the slide presentation advances by clicking on it. There is also a link to a cool video describing the statue of Siva (Shiva) and Shiva's importance to the understanding of modern Physics.
