Good news! Gov. Shapiro has ordered PennDOT to redirect $153 million to SEPTA to help the agency avoid fare increases and service cutbacks.

Bob Previdi and Jo Winter released a statement on behalf of the Save the Train Coalition, saying, “We are delighted Gov. Josh Shapiro has stepped in to provide a one-time bandage for SEPTA’s current budget hole…But this is not the end of the fight to fund SEPTA at the levels riders deserve.”
