Nollywood is always home for partiality in all levels

Despicable Act I Encountered In Nollywood.

I once attended a movie audition with my brother in Onitsha. We came early so we had to wait for countless of hours before the organisers showed up. We ranted in our usual way and they apologized for keeping us waiting.

After some minutes of setting up the stage, the organiser, a movie director i had known since 2013 took to the stage to give his prologue. He went ahead to brag how AGN (Actors Guild Of Nigeria) has changed over the years and promised that the characters needed in the movie gives room for many actors, hence, males as well as females will be casted , "there will be no partiality" he added before exiting the stage.

The audition finally started. About 38 of us were auditioned on different roles after which some of us were certified to be fully fit for the job. We were asked to wait further for more information on when and where the shootings will take place.

Some Top Men And Women in the game ( I mean popular celebrities but I won't mention names) who came along got themselves a round table at a far extreme of the luxurious bar, where they ordered all sorts of drinks.

After some time, the PM ( production Manager), came into the bush bar we were and asked some girls to come with him. Before one could say Jack, almost all the fine girls that were auditioned with us were hosted in another round table.

I called the PM and asked what was going on, he assured me that e everything is Okay, that they will soon get back to us. I sat there with other male participants and a few not too fine young girls watching as scripts were being shared to those Asampetecious Asampete they got on the other table.

After waiting for about another 30 minutes with nothing coming, I told the production manager that I can't wait further, he begged me to exercise some patience and i bluntly told him that they have chosen the people they wanted to cast in their movies already, so i see no need of me wasting my time further. I in the the company of my brother and many other participants left the venue.

It's not even up to 3 hours that the Director made a promise not to engage in that same act they engaged in. I know that most of them might have booked one hotel room or the other.

But my problem is, why did they waste our time when they know that all they needed are just some fine girls they'll get down with all in the name of putting them in movies to make them famous. The Nollywood industry needs to be scrutinized and remove most of those hungry sxx maniacs who would rather cast the person they get down with instead of the right person for the job.

This is just a bit of my experience in Nigeria Movie Industry.

🌟 Audi unveils the updated version of the executive electric vehicle e-Tron GT 🌟

On June 18, Audi held the global premiere of the refreshed version of the executive electric vehicle e-Tron GT. This model has been in production since 2020 and shares a platform with the Porsche Taycan. After the successful modernization of Taycan in March, it was now time for the e-Tron GT.

🚗 Technical Emphasis:
• The standard version of the electric vehicle is now labeled with the letter S and is more powerful than the previous sports modification RS.
• The power of the S e-Tron GT motors is 500 kW (679 hp), which is an increase of 110 kW (150 hp) compared to the previous standard version and 25 kW (34 hp) compared to the RS e-Tron GT.
• The new RS e-Tron motors deliver a total power of 630 kW (856 hp).

As part of the Porsche Sonderwunsch factory program, specialists at the Exclusive Manufaktur have created a unique Porsche 911 Turbo S of the current generation. The inspiration for this project came from one of the four Porsche 959 vehicles built by the predecessor division of Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur for a client in the late 1980s.

This modern coupe was not originally intended for sale, but it was eventually acquired from the factory by the head of the Milan luxury brand Larusmiani, Guglielmo Miani. 🌟

🏎️ On June 20, 2024, the French company Bugatti presented the hypercar Tourbillon, which succeeded the Chiron model, with a price tag of 4$ million.

▪️Bugatti Tourbillon Sterring Wheel Design▪️

The cluster, which weighs only 700g, is made up of more than 600 parts crafted from titanium and gemstones such as sapphire and ruby. This remarkable feat of engineering is fixed in place as the steering hub rotates around it, mirroring the rotating axis of a tourbillon watch movement. The driver display and console switches, made from crystal glass and aluminium, are exposed to reveal their intricate detailing, while the knurled switchgear is juxtaposed by a screen that discreetly pops up when required.

Once this handy addition is activated, a rear camera puts the screen in portrait and turns it into full landscape mode in five seconds. Amidst all this luxury, Bugatti has somehow managed to maintain a steely-eyed focus on saving weight. The seats are fixed to the floor, and only the pedal box is adjustable, with even the audio system arriving devoid of traditional speakers or woofers.

▪️Bugatti Tourbillon Engine & Performance ▪️

With a fiendishly complicated plug-in hybrid powertrain, the Tourbillon is not as heavy as you would think and weighs less than the Chiron with its turbo W16 engine. The naturally aspirated V16 has been developed with Cosworth and revs to a superbike-challenging 9000 rpm to go along with its 1,000 horses. Once the three electric motors chime in, you’ve got another 800 bhp at your disposal, bringing the total to a colossal 1,800 bhp.

An 8-speed dual-clutch transmission has been tasked with reigning in this much power, and not surprisingly, 0-100 km/h takes place in just 2 seconds, with Bugatti claiming a top speed of 445 km/h. However, more than the crazy performance, the electric-only range of about 60km will mean that most owners will trundle along city streets in utmost silence.

▪️Design & Exterior▪️

Elsewhere, the new chassis and suspension are much lighter than previous Bugatti releases, courtesy of the carbon composites and 3D-printed components. In essence, nothing has been carried over from the automaker’s past supercars, with Bugatti instead choosing to introduce new brake-by-wire systems and custom Michelin Pilot Cup Sport 2 tyres, which will not last much after a top-speed run, we would guess.

Interestingly, Christophe Piochon, president of Bugatti, was keen to stress that the new release is not some trick pony. While speed and power are certainly the key factors at play, the Tourbillon’s emphasis on ergonomics and lightness cannot be discounted. Unlike the Veyron, the top speed of the Tourbillon is only a part of the allure. We think it looks more purposeful too but we would have loved a more differentiation over the Chiron at the front but the dihedral doors along with the Mistral like rear add in a lot of drama.

▪️Bugatti Tourbillon Expected Pricing and Availability ▪️

Only 250 Bugatti Tourbillons will be produced, however, you can expect a roadster version to follow suit, alongside a myriad of more powerful limited editions planned. For now, the Tourbillon is the most powerful hypercar out there with first deliveries starting from 2026 at around £3.2 million (AUD$6 million) each.
