Our Story

The tale of the B+C Talent Corporation started back in 2003. Yerika L. Candelaria Pou worked on various programs in her homeland of Puerto Rico, USA. As she was maturing into a young woman, she decided to push her career exploits further, by obtaining academic credentials stateside. With nothing more than her generous spirit and work effort. Yerika committed herself to learning all that she could about the entertainment business & the quirks of mainland American culture. This experienced allowed her to find a companion with a like minded sentiment.

Now, Eugene Batiste III was no stranger to business of filmmaking and media entertainment. He started was back in 2001, working as a production assistant alongside the likes of Virginia’s Ken Roy within the Southern Mystique Film Camp. The camp was, at the time, sponsored by Tim Reid’s New Millennium Studios. Since, that company refused to innovate, Batiste decided to travel south to Miami, Florida to receive academic credentials within the media arts.

Fate set Yerika & Eugene on a crash course, where the two would conduct film festivals, make films, write scripts, sponsor workshops, and give advice to up & coming filmmakers. After their stint in South Florida, Eugene decided to serve his country and bewed Yerika. Eugene’s military service displaced the new family to central Virginia. It is here that Yerika found a enormous gap in the services offered to the media-artists within the Mid-Atlantic region of the continental United States. Again, with nothing more than her charms, Yerika started gaining head way in Virginia’s macro-media-economy, by working on shows within the state. After her work on PBS’s Mercy Street, Yerika with the support of her family launched the B+C Talent Inc.

Yerika continues to work closely with performing artists, filmmakers, and entertainment technicians. Eugene coaches producers and independent filmmakers on the laws and resource requirements necessary to sustain a viable industry within the Mid-Atlantic region. Together, they have had more than a dozen individuals launch careers within the arts by assisting them in receiving credentials from SAG-AFTRA and making appearances at New York’s Fashion Week. Few have ventured off to California with considerable plans. Others have gone on to New York and launch a career representing brands all over the planet.
