Otwell 4th of July Celebration update!

7/4/24 MOST RECENT UPDATE:

Garden Tractor Pull and Supercross canceled.

FIREWORKS are now SATURDAY evening.

We are STILL ON for the live music with Descent, going to have rides going, and the hamburger/ ice cream stands will be open.

Again, we know this isn't ideal, but we're working with what we have and adapting accordingly.

Additionally, the grounds are very saturated so rain boots or shoes you don't care get wet/ dirty are encouraged!

(Please know that I answer what I can as quickly as I can, but there's just one of me. Everything that you need to know can be answered by reading my updates)

PLEASE NOTE:
WINSLOW PARKS & RECREATION: We have decided to cancel Saturdays 5K. Winslow has another large event the same day, Clog the Patoka. We hate to spread volunteers thin for both events and want to keep runners safe with the additional traffic in town for that event. We plan to have a 5K in September so keep an eye out for details and registration!

ALSO AN ERROR WAS STATED IN THE CLOG THE PATOKA ARTICLE THIS WEEK - LIFE JACKETS ARE REQUIRED BY STATE LAW ON THE RIVER, ONE FOR EACH PERSON UNDER THE AGE OF 13 AND ONE IN THE WATERCRAFT FOR EACH PERSON ON BOARD

Public Service Announcement for all visitors of the Elmer Buchta Technology Center using Highway 61 near I-69. Here is the map for the official detour route during the Highway 61 closure.
