I want you to look at the dedication on her face . This woman was so committed to doing a great job as a stylist that she never mentioned to me that she had bigger dreams. She had auditioned for things many times and I never saw it, so she thought I didn’t like her acting.

After years of running behind me with my shoes and clothes she reluctantly asked if she could audition for a role and I told her yes.
Well, I’ll never forget the first day she was on the set of Sistas as Fatima - she KILLED IT! When I yelled cut the entire crew was cheering for her.
I remember that like it was yesterday.
And now she is killing the game. I am so very proud of you Crystal.

Why am I telling you all this today? Besides the fact that I want to publicly say happy belated birthday I also want to share with you what I told her when I first saw that photo.

I sent her a text saying that GREATNESS SHINES THROUGH THE PERSEVERANCE OF THE MUNDANE!! She honored one thing and God opened so many more doors for her.

If you’re on a regular job like I was years ago and you have a bigger dream don’t let your job kill your dream, just keep persevering. Your greatness will shine through and the people who are suppose to see you will. Happy birthday Crystal I wish you every one of Gods choice blessings as you remember that the blessings of the lord maketh rich and addeth no sorrow (Proverbs 10:22)

Its not the size of the things you accomplish but the substance behind it.You don’t have to do big things in life to be great. Doing small things in your own great way is great enough. Displaying your greatness is more than just ok. You are enough!

Showering me with love while riding the tide.
Although our lives have intertwined.
The feeling of lust never crossing my mind.

Arguments dont have to be just arguements. They can be learning experiences. It can be tempting to want to win every battle of wits that you get into, but sometimes winning isn’t the best outcome. When we argue, it’s because we are passionate about sharing our beliefs or opinions. Even as you disagree with another person, try to see things from their point of view. This way you may learn, even if you don’t agree. That is the greatest outcome. You may also be teaching someone else how to learn something new.
