Good Morning Friends. I wanted to share a scripture for reflection today.
The word tells us to take no thought for tomorrow ……Matthew 6:34
Mental Health Modalities encourage “Mindfulness” - paying attention to present moment.
I find so much joy in being a Mental Health Clinician that focuses on integrating spirituality and mental health, education and awareness.
I get the privilege of seeing the lights come on in the eyes of those who at times felt hopeless. I get to witness those who get off of medication that they never needed and others begin to take medication that they desperately needed but refrained from taking because they felt judged, ashamed or less spiritual for some reason.
I remember so many times that I felt hopeless, unworthy and lowly in spirit. Times that the storms of life felt unbearable. For many years I suffered in silence. Surrendering my pride for GOD’S love was the best decision i ever made.
I couldn’t give or receive authentic love whike full of self hate , infected with deep spiritual and trauma wounds. But GOD…….the good LORD, a good therapist, good friends, spiritual community and loving family helped see me through. Many times people who had bo idea they were supporting me in my healing made impactful investments in my spirit. Nothing is too hard for GOD and nothing is wasted with GOD .
I remember aa a child saying that i would never attend xhurch when i was an adult and to be honest my faith in GOD diminished after my dad was murdered and i was treated so poorly by those that should have loved me and supported me most in my season of deep grief. Yet, no one came to save me.
I hid a song in my heart in spite of my disdain for GOD’S people. I fekt that they were all hypocrites . I would sing the song “Array of Hope” daily in private. The words of that song got me though many dark days. Days that I had no desire to live .
I vowed to open a business one day with the name of Array of Hope. I had no idea what kind of business it would be. I just knew that i wanted to help people who felt lost, hopeless and unworthy at times.
In 2020 I opened ARRAY of HOPE LLC while still working a full time job. It was easy and peaceful. It’s not just a job or a business. It is my purpose, my offering to GOD. So if you ever wonder why i do so much, it’s because HE save me from so much and I owe HIM a debt that i can never repay. I will certainly die trying.
One day you will have an opportunity to read about all that HE has delivered me from and how HE did it for me. Until then, I pray that you will log onto a podcast, join us for a ladies day or sit with a video that resonates with yiur spirit. My greatest prayer is that you g*y the support that you need to heal from old wounds and gain capacity fir GOD’S love to fill every void in your life. That you would get more connected to the only one that can save you in the end. Our LORD and Savior JESUS CHRIST. Life is so much more peaceful and enjoyable when you are filled with the spirit and can simply enjoy the connection with others without expecting them to fill voids in your life.
We don’t have to choose between our spiritual health and mental health y’all. We can do both.
I love y’all and GOD loves you more. Take care of yourselves because you sure are worth it.
