Recording the new Sleepy Guitar Johnson album “Parliament of Owls - The Instrumentals Vol IV” All new originals composed for electric guitars. Experimenting with different tunings: the Dobro is tuned to open E, Gibson 355 to standard, the Silvertone to open G minor, the Kramer open D. These tunings will likely change as needed for the new tunes: 5 done, more to come. Keeping me focused. Peace

We met during the shooting of the pilot for AMEN for Johnny Carson Productions in the eighties. I had recorded and mixed the gospel theme song penned and performed by Andrae Crouch. Legendary gospel artist Andrae Crouch dies at 72

I'm sorry to learn that my friend has passed on. I wasn't into the Gospel music scene at the time, but he schooled me big time on gospel and R&B while recording and mixing the Grammy winning album "No Time To Lose," and the songs for "Color Purple." He was a genius and million laughs to boot... His legacy lives on.

Grammy-winning gospel artist Andrae Crouch died Thursday, his representative confirmed to the Los Angeles Times. He was 72.

I remember working as a disc mastering engineer at DCT recorders on Sunset and Cahuenga when Kim walked in to have some discs cut. He was a Svengali even then pre Runaways.
