Celebrate Earth Day with these amazing Albert Whitman titles! 💙 🌍💚

• The Earth Gives More: From leaves falling and becoming fertilizer to raindrops bringing plants to life in the spring, the cycle of every season has something to enjoy. While delighting in all nature offers, we need to remember to respect and treasure the world around us. This sweet rhyming story follows the change in seasons and illustrates how we can all be stewards of the Earth.

• The Big Beach Cleanup: Cora is excited to enter the local sandcastle-building contest—until the contest is canceled due to litter at the beach. Determined to help save their favorite place, Cora and Mama get to work picking up the single-use plastics that have washed onto the shore. It will take more than four hands to clean up the beach, but Cora is just getting started.

• Carried on the Wind: It Starts with a Seed *coming October 2024* Starting with a child’s sigh, this story takes readers around the world, from Alaska to Central America to Africa, and all the way back to where their journey began. With facts about nature woven throughout, this poetic depiction of chaos theory—or the butterfly effect—illustrates how everyone and everything in our world is, ultimately, connected.

MY LUCK CHARM: It’s early morning at the cabin. A girl tucks her honeybee good luck charm in her pocket and sets out to catch fish for everyone’s breakfast. She can smell the pine trees, hear the birds, and see the squirrels. But when her line snaps taut and a fish is right on the rock with her, gasping for air, her excitement turns into concern.

OCTOPUS ACROBATICS: Though octopuses live in every ocean and along every US coast, you may never catch a glimpse of one in the wild. All 300 species, from the tiny wolfi octopus to the enormous Pacific octopus, can camouflage themselves by changing color, pattern, and texture. Some octopuses are also capable of regenerating limbs, surviving on land for short periods of time, and fitting through impossibly small spaces!

PURPLE UP! WE SALUTE OUR FRIENDS: April 15 is Purple Up! Day—a day when Americans around the world recognize and celebrate the children who make sacrifices along with their military parents.
