On November 11th, Papillion Fire was dispatched to a house fire in the area of Matthies & Parc Drive in Papillion at 8:36 PM. Initial reports were that a house was fully involved, possibly threatening neighboring houses. Papillion Fire arrived and a working fire was declared. Command advised that a person may still be inside of the house, and Engine 4 was assigned search. It was deemed that no other people were inside the house. One person was treated for injuries on scene but declined transport to the hospital. The Human Society was requested to the scene as well. The fire was under control within 10 minutes of the working fire being declared.
Today, October 15th, 2022, The Papillion Fire Department, Papillion Police Department, and Sarpy County Sheriff's Office responded to an Injury Crash at 114th & 370. Dispatch reported there were 2 vehicles involved with 3-4 parties suffering from injuries. Upon arrival, it was determined that there were a total of 8 people with injuries, and 2 needed extraction from a vehicle involved. Due to the nature of the call additional medics were requested from Omaha, Springfield, and Bellevue, along with the Children's Hospital Transport Team. All patients were taken to local area trauma centers.

Around 1pm Today October 11, 2022, The Papillion Fire Department was dispatched to an automatic Fire Alarm in the area of 101st Ave & Virginia St in La Vista. When crews first arrived they had smoke in the house and a full alarm was struck and a working fire was declared. Crews put out the fire in under 15 minutes and stayed on the scene for overhaul. No injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
On Sunday, April 24th, 2022. Sarpy County Emergency Management hosted an active shooter training drill at Cobalt Federal Credit Union in Papillion, Nebraska. Papillion Police, La Vista Police, Bellevue Police, Sarpy County Sheriff's Office, Papillion Fire Department, Bellevue Fire Department, Springfield Volunteer Fire Department, Gretna Volunteer Fire Department, Ralston Volunteer Fire Department, Offutt Fire & Rescue, and the Nebraska State Patrol, as well as various other agencies and local partners, participated. This drill lasted around 3 hours, with most activity within the first hour and a half.

Around 10:20PM on February 26, 2022, Papillion Fire Department responded to a defective appliance call in the area of Oakwood & Le Bron Drive in Papillion, Nebraska, for a dryer that had caught fire. Upon arrival units had nothing showing, after further investigation a working fire was declared and a full house fire response was paged out. The fire was quickly knocked down with some extension to the rear side of the house. Everyone had evacuated the house and one person was checked out for smoke inhalation but was not transported. A fire investigator was requested to the scene as well.
Shortly after 5PM Papillion Fire Department, Bellevue Fire Department, Sarpy County Sheriff's, and the Nebraska State Patrol responded to a Personal Injury Accident involving a Sarpy County Deputy at 87th & Giles Rd. The deputy was uninjured but an involved party was experiencing chest pains from the incident and was transported to Bergen Mercy Code 2 by Bellevue Medic 41.
At about 4:15PM Papillion Fire, Papillion Police, La Vista Police, Sarpy County Sheriff's, and the Nebraska State Patrol responded to a 2 Car Personal Injury Accident at 84th & Giles. A total of 5 Patients were transported from the Scene. 2 Female teenagers were transported to Children's Code 2 by Papillion Medic 3. Another Male Patient was Transported to Nebraska Medicine Omaha Code 3 TCC by Papillion Medic 1, who was found unresponsive upon arrival. Omaha Fire Department Medic 61 was requested as well and transported 2 additional patients to Bergen Mercy Code 2. The Sarpy County Crash team also responded to investigate the scene.
Around 4:15 Papillion PD and FD along with La Vista PD responded to a Personal Injury Accident at 84th & Giles. Dispatch reported that there were 3 cars involved with one party possibly pinned. A pinned response was dispatched which included an additional engine to respond. Once on scene, crews stated that there were no parties pinned and Engine 3 went back in service. All parties refused treatment and transport. Traffic restrictions were put in place at Westbound Giles at 83rd Street and Northbound 84th at Giles.
La Port Drive House Fire
Around 2:40 PM the Papillion Fire Department responded to a reported house fire in the area of La Port Drive & Cedardale Road in Papillion, Nebraska. A caller stated that there was a trashcan in the garage that was on fire. Upon Engine 3's arrival, they declared a working fire and stretched a hose line. Once other units arrived there was a total of 3 hose lines stretched. The fire appeared to be contained to the garage and no other injuries were reported. Scanner traffic indicates that there were two juveniles in the home. The cause of the fire is unknown and is currently under investigation.
Papio Creek Brush Fire. 12/17/2021
Around 1pm on December 17, 2021, Papillion Fire Department responded to a reported brush fire in the area of 66th & Giles Rd. The caller states they could see black some coming from a field.
Upon Engine 4's arrival, they reported a confirmed brush fire. Fire Car 3 requested another Engine and a brush truck. Engine 3 and Brush 3 were dispatched to the scene. After arrival, units discovered that this brush fire was along the east side of the Big Papio Creek, in the creek bed. Fire Car 3 requested that law enforcement respond after they were given information that a homeless person was possibly under the bridge and had a fire going. Fire Car 3 then requested an additional Truck company and Brush unit from Bellevue Fire Department. Bellevue Truck 31, Brush 33, and Battalion 1 were dispatched to the scene. Later Bellevue Engine 41 and Brush 43 were dispatched for additional manpower to help overhaul the scene. This scene lasted for around 1 1/2 hours.
