Child Predator

The NCSO School Resource Officer are currently seeking public assistance in identifying additional victims in reference to a subject identified as Da'zjon Blazio, photo attached. He has been arrested for Luring a Minor at the Pahrump Valley High School and for Ma*****na sales.

Nye county school are closed tomorrow.

Weather Emergency - Schools Closed Monday, August 21, 2023
Due to the Declaration of Local Emergency of the Nye County Board of Commissioners and the recommendation to shelter in place, the Nye County School District will be closing schools tomorrow, Monday, August 21, 2023. This decision was made out of extreme caution for the safety of all Nye County School District students and staff.

We are in communication with the Director of Emergency Management for Nye County, Chief Scott Lewis. We will continue to send updates if the situation changes through all school websites and Facebook: https://www.nye.k12.nv.us/live-feed.

Currently our plan is for schools to return to normal schedules on Tuesday, August 22, 2023. If this changes, we will send another emergency update through all channels: phone message, email, text, all websites, and pages.

All employees should stay home unless otherwise specifically arranged with your supervisor. More information will come to you through your work email.

Update on the storm headed our way. The hurricane has lost power quicker than they predicted yesterday. When there are a few days of rain in the desert it is likely there will be flooding in areas because the ground can not absorb the water that quick.

Today @5:30 there is a school board meeting. They have an informational section today that might not get parent input. This concerns how many days of school the kids will attend. If you would like to speak you must fill out a paper and give it to the lady with the computer before the start of public comment.
