Moving from California to Texas

Hello, I'm the guy who set up this page months ago when my wife and I started planning our move. We just completed it and in the days ahead, I will share some of our experiences, good and bad. Hopefully, this can be helpful to anyone thinking about and in the process of moving from California (or anywhere else) to Texas.
First question: How much did the move cost you? Ours was $31,400! I call it the Moving Mafia because guess what, they are still holding our stuff in a storage yard in San Antonio waiting for a driver!
The name of our moving company is Allied, although there's a back story there too.
