In an ironic "twist of fate" Jeff Piotrowski at age 16 nearly lost his life, as Tulsa's worst flash flooding in history on May 30, 1976 swept him (a passenger) out of a vehicle and into the deadly raging waters of Mingo creek. Jeff survived by grabbing onto a corner fencepost and waited for local firemen to rescue him. The first fi

re truck to arrive was swept into the water and the second truck held its ground to pull Jeff from the water. This event would send most persons running from severe weather but as fate would have it, this event sparked a passion for severe weather like no other. Jeff Piotrowski has become a storm chasing legend having documented/filmed well over 800 tornadoes, 24 Hurricanes, ice storms, wild fires and every extreme of mother nature. Jeff's company Storm Productions holds the world's largest private collection of extreme historic weather events and survivors stories. More than likely you have watched Jeff's footage in numerous productions on The Discovery Channel, National Geographic, The History Channel, TLC as well as all major news networks, Insurance Ads and PSAs. During a severe weather event Jeff is a "regular guest" on Wolf Blitzer, Anderson Cooper and Piers Morgan.

- Jeff is employed with a leading weather technology company, Baron Services Inc. Baron Services specializes in providing state-of-the-science weather information on a global scale to governments, businesses and broadcasters.

- Jeff received an Emmy award for coverage of the Gainesville TX F2 tornado. "Day of Tornadoes"

- In recognition of his real-time reporting of the May 3, 1999 F-5 in Oklahoma, Jeff received a service award from NOAA. Jeff tracked the deadly F-5 from Lawton to the OKC metro.

- Creator of Storm Productions Inc. The world’s largest private collection of extreme weather events. A catalog of over 800 tornados, notably Moore OK. F-5 on May 3, 1999, Joplin MO. EF-5 May 22, 2011and Calumet Okla. EF-5 on May 24, 2011. Hurricanes notably Hurricane Katrina, Andrew, Ike, Irene, Wilma, Isaac and Superstorm Sandy.

In summary- Multiple intense, long-track tornadoes,
very large to giant hail, and severe/damaging winds all appear likely.
The overall synoptic setup indicates a severe weather outbreak occurring this afternoon and extending into the evening and parts of the overnight period.
Multiple intense, long-track tornadoes are expected, especially in parts of southern Kansas into Oklahoma. Very-large hail of up 2-4
inches can also be expected with intense supercells.
As storm coverage increases and storms transition from from isolated to more linear severe gusts, some up to 80 mph, will become more common.
The time frame of greatest concern for
intense tornadoes is from 03-06Z (10pm - 1am) across central into northeast Oklahoma.

Tornado Outbreak imminent TODAY, Saturday APRIL 27, 2024. Daytime and into the Evening Hours. Areas of greatest concern all of Oklahoma, central and eastern Kansas, North and Central Texas.
Please see the attached photos of areas potentially affected.
Activate your severe weather safety plan for you, your family and your pets. If a tornado warning is issued for your area move to a tornado shelter immediately. If you do not have a tornado shelter move to an interior room away from exterior walls, on the lowest level. If you have an impact rated helmet, consider wearing it. I know of children surviving an EF-5 event simply because they were wearing a bicycle helmet. Place important documents in a secure area, including access to cash after a disaster.
Tune in to your local area weather forecaster for updates for severe weather in your area. Also utilize a NOAA weather Alert Radio. Here is the STORM PREDICTION CENTERS categorical OUTLOOK FOR TODAY Saturday April 27, 2024

A better look at Jeff's Night Time Tornado Intercept of the Hot Springs Village - EF-2. It was shot with the GoPro Hero 10 which isn't the best at low light footage. We have transistioned all of our GoPro's to the 11 and 12. How this 10 managed its way into the camera bag...who knows lol. I (Kat) did my best to take out Noise and pixelation in the editing process but when AI can't even do it ... well...

Jeff and I intercepted a storm before the tornado on the Northwest side of Perryton TX and called 911 to alert them that a tornado had touched down and was headed for Perryton. We have stopped and jeff is searching for people along with another storm chaser the damaging is quite severe.

Every January my very WiLD Red Shouldered Hawk shows up for a morsel or two about every other day! I used to feed his/ her(I think it is a male) parents when they were alive for years. I would whistle a very distinct whistle and they would fly like a bolt of lightning to my location!! I guess this little one remembered and it has shown up for the past 3 years after it's birth! I try to educate people that this guy couldn't fly off with their pet so there isn't a worry. The most he could barely get off of the ground with last year was 6 ounces. He couldn't even budge a 1 lb rabbit and he tried a couple of times (dragged it maybe an inch lolllol) and then abandoned the kill. By the way these are frozen rats and rabbits I purchase online to experiment his flight with. These hawks have PLENTY TO EAT in our neighborhood in the way of snakes, small rodents and the like. Hawks will purposely avoid pets strictly to avoid injury! Why risk vour life when vou have a snake close by! I thank God for blessing me with this extraordinary creature to help with an additional bite or two this winter. Come early spring I won’t see him again but I will surely hear him!! he will make all kinds of noise trying to round up a mate and then they will be equally as loud when they are feeding their young. If I’m lucky he will Grace me with his presence maybe once in the summer as he did this past year. But only once. Please don't hurt my guy they are just trying to make it in a semi urban setting!❤️

HailStone Emerging Through Clouds

Jeff Piotrowski had THE BEST day storm chasing a few days ago near Lawton, OK. When I went through the footage of this captivating storm with a rainbow, I noticed something streaking to the ground. HAIL! A pretty good-sized hail stone to boot! A 1" to 1.25" hailstone can hit the earth anywhere from 25-40MPH!
