Ok. Quick update. We haven't been able to record for the past two weeks because Stephanie has been ill. She has lost her voice. We first thought it was Covid, but it turned out to be bronchitis. She is improving but we have been at a standstill. In addition, she suffered an injury at her job and has been bedridden. I have also been struggling with some dental issues and will undergoing surgery. The good news is the extra time has allowed me to really polish what we have done. Been working nonsense on that. We plan on launching the new pod: Something Dreadful in July with three episodes. We plan for the first season to run all the way until Halloween. My writing and research is actually ahead of schedule.

Just finished Episode 3 of our new pod which is titled "Psychic Photography". It is an homage to one of my favorite X-File episodes, and opens with a short story written by yours truly. We talk about the life of Ted Serios, Victorian Spirit photography, and attempts to capture death itself on film. Bring your Polaroids. We plan to unveil the new logo for our new podcast next week.

Hello everyone! Sorry we haven’t dropped any new content since December. The Spookies is ending. It is a personal decision between Stephanie and I. She has been very busy with her new job and we have been working on a new project that we are introducting in June. Stephanie and I are launching a new podcast called Something Dreadful. It is more much about mysteries and unexplained deaths. It’s very X-Files/Unsolved Mysteries/In Search Of. We want to focus on the stories not stupid drama. I see it as a refinement of everything that has come before. It will launch with three episodes in June. We want to think everyone who has supported us. This isn’t the end. It is a new beginning. The good news is our next pod will have a regular schedule and had some truly fascinating stories/cases to explore. Something Dreadful isn’t about politics or the latest true crime trending on Tik Tok. It’s about what interests and frightening us! It’s about the truth that is still out there! I want it to be an escape from the insanity of the modern world.

Our next episode drops early next month and it is a banger. Wanted to do a Halloween special but all the darkness in the world right now has me bummed. Plus we have both been extremely busy with life these past two weeks. I have had a truly nasty case of kidney stones that’s finally passed which had really derailed my entire month.

We have some big cases coming.

Next episode is The Werewolf Killer, which was going to the Halloween episode but it really isn’t about Halloween per se. The more I researched it, the more I came away with a contrarian take. It’s a really sad story for all involved honestly.

Episode 4x04 is The Papin Sisters and 4X05 is The Unexplained Death of Ellen Greenberg

We are making a return to some serious true crimey material.
