Weekend roundup: There are a lot of fun events happening this weekend at Lake of the Ozarks.

• Dec. 1-31: Osage Beach Light Park opens for the season. Located at Hatchery Park from 5-9 p.m.
• Dec. 1: Tree Lighting Ceremony on the Camden County Courthouse Lawn from 5-7 p.m.
• Dec. 2: Christmas on the Square on the Camden County Courthouse Lawn from 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Free food, games, entertainment.
• Dec. 2: School of the Osage Holiday Bazaar at the high school from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
• Dec. 2: Christmas in Eldon starting at 10 a.m. around downtown.
• Dec. 2: Lake Area Chorale free performance at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church at 2 p.m.
• Dec. 2: Breakfast with Santa at the Mid-County Fire Protection District Headquarters in Camdenton from 8-10:30 a.m.
• Dec. 3: Lake Area Community Orchestra free performance at the High School Performing Arts Center in Versailles at 7 p.m.
• Dec. 3: Greater Lake Area Chorale free performance at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Camdenton at 2 p.m.
• Dec. 3: Holiday with the Horses at Missouri Forget Me Not Horse Rescue Sanctuary from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

Thank you Veterans! Several Veterans Day events are happening around the Lake area starting Friday.

• Veterans Day Breakfast
Nov. 10 at the Osage Beach HyVee from 6-10 a.m. A free, buffet-style breakfast will be served.

• Veterans Parade
Nov. 11 along Osage Beach Parkway at 1 p.m. Anyone is encouraged to participate. After the parade, the Elks Lodge #2571 will offer food and entertainment.

• Veterans Day Breakfast
Nov. 11 at the American Legion Post 624 in Sunrise Beach 8-10 a.m. Following breakfast, join the Legion for its Veteran’s Day Ceremony to honor those who served.

• Letters from the Battlefield
Nov. 11 at the Camden County Museum in Linn Creek. War Letters from Korea — Iraq Wars starts at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

Osage Casino is hosting a screening of Martin Scorsese’s film “Killers of the flower Moon” tonight at Marcus Eagles' Landing Cinema. Starts at 7:15 p.m. Osage Casinos is making 250 tickets available to Lake area residents on a first come, first served basis. Visit the theater to pick up one of the limited tickets available for the screening.
“‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ is an Osage story of trust and betrayal as told by Martin Scorsese,” said Chief Standing Bear. “We are grateful for the care and respect shown to us throughout this momentous time and encourage all to watch and learn from this important film.”
“This is a story of heartbreak and a story of resiliency. The Killers of the Flower Moon tells the story about the hardships members of our nation experienced in the 1920’s. Members of the Osage Nation respect the way this story was written,” said Osage Casinos CEO Kimberly Pearson.
