Some ideas refuse to stay in the drawer.

For a while, we’ve been exploring a new format for The Legacy of Cthulhu: adventures set in contained locations, inspired by the tension of Day of the Dead and Resident Evil.

The result is Tethis Alpha, an oil rig with an intricate map, branching events, limited supplies, and a crew whose members have agendas of their own. Food is running out, the countdown has begun, and each decision may change what happens next.

Tethis Alpha will be our next drop for paid Patreon members. Since this is still an experimental format, we’re looking forward to hearing your thoughts and discovering how the adventure unfolds at your table.

The first print run of The Legacy of Cthulhu is almost gone.

Although it wasn’t the first title in the Dark Legacy collection, The Legacy of Cthulhu was the first one we brought to the international market. Through its original crowdfunding campaign, it reached players in more than 30 countries, becoming the biggest success in Minds Vision’s history and helping establish the Dark Legacy collection worldwide.

Now, as the first edition is nearly sold out, a second printing is on the way.

The Hollow Spawn are no longer just creatures to hunt. Now, they are powers to bargain with—and debts waiting to be collected.

Each one has its own interests and resources, and what one desires may be controlled by another. When that happens, a deal lands on the table, placing you at the center of their rivalries.

Succeed, and your patron gains power while another Spawn loses ground. Fail, and the balance may shift against you. Betray the creature that hired you, and you make a dangerous enemy.

Meanwhile, favors are earned, grudges grow, and the balance of power continues to change, whether you interfere or not. Every alliance creates new opportunities, but every decision carries consequences.

The Dark Legacy Collection has always been united by the Solo 10 System—a lean, intuitive ruleset that lets you start playing without memorizing countless mechanics or performing complicated calculations. It also allows every game in the series to connect seamlessly.

That shared identity goes beyond the rules. It’s also reflected in the visual language of the books, especially their covers. Each one captures the essence of its game’s horror in a way that feels immediately recognizable.

Those illustrations are the work of Richard Hilliard. We became fans of his art long before Minds Vision Games existed, after discovering his cover work for independent horror, science fiction, and dark fantasy films on DVD and Blu-ray.

Working with Richard has been an absolute pleasure. He immediately understood the tone we wanted for the Dark Legacy universe and brought it to life with remarkable speed and talent.

We’re incredibly grateful for everything he has created for us, and we’re proud to recognize his contribution publicly.
