"The festival of the Summer Solstice speaks of love and light, of freedom and generosity of spirit. It is a beautiful time of year where vibrant flowers whisper to us with scented breath, forests and woodlands hang heavy in the summer’s heat and our souls become enchanted with midsummer magic."

Please be respectful and keep your dog on a leash. Most trails specifically say "must leash your dog"
We had an instance last year (before we had our dogs thankfully) that an off leash dog charged us on a trail, jumped on and knocked down my 3 year old son. If our dogs now had seen that they would definitely have attacked the other dog. And now today we ran into a dog that was not leashed and about 30 feet from his owners. Luckily we had our dogs away from them and they got to theirs and there wasn't a problem. But something like that can turn really bad really fast. Most dogs are not friendly with dogs they don't know. Just to keep everyone safe and having a good time why not just use a leash?

"I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:
A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils."

The Daffodils here are gone now, but this is my favorite poem so had to share. Happy Friday 💛
