🚨Speculation Control 🚨
We have seen a post circulating on social media platforms today, alleging that ICE is conducting door-to-door operations in the Benson area. This is FALSE.

Hearing anything about ICE causes uncertainty and consternation for some. But we need to ensure the information we have is true and accurate to avoid causing undue panic. What is NOT true is the rumor that ICE is in your neighborhood doing door-to-door immigration checks. ICE does not do this, nor will they.

What is true:
ICE has had an office in Omaha for a long time.
ICE has been conducting operations in Omaha and Douglas County for years.
ICE does not conduct random door-to-door immigration checks.
