Some of the sights from Indianapolis on the first day of the National Eucharistic Congress - courtesy of Susan Szalewski, who will be reporting from there this week. The Eucharistic Congress' fingerprints were all over the city of Indianapolis as over 50,000 Catholics flocked there to attend the first Eucharistic Congress in 83 years. Long lines stretching for blocks outside of Lucas Oil Stadium didn't keep the attendees down, as many prayed the rosary together, smiled and shared friendly conversation.

SERVICES HAVE BEEN SCHEDULED: A funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday, June 27, at Father Dave Reeson's home parish, St. Patrick in Fremont.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 26, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the church, with a Knights of Columbus walking rosary at 7 p.m. and a 7:30 p.m. vigil service.

Visitation also will precede the funeral Mass on Thursday, starting about 9 a.m.

Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Omaha.

CORRECTION: Sarah placed much higher in the Scripps National Spelling Bee than what was originally posted. She earned her second consecutive top-10 finish, finishing in ninth place out of 245 contestants!
Last year, at age 11, Sarah tied for 10th place.
