I don't know if you've ever heard the expression, Chief Cook & Bottle Washer; it's a term used to define someone doing several jobs simultaneously and always running the risk of something not getting done or not getting done right.
That has been my situation for the past five years or so. Part of it is due to the lack of resources to hire qualified help, and the other problem is managing the time to keep up with all the changes in technology and the internet in general as it relates to my goal.
Wait! I'm not complaining; I'm confessing that all the stuff I want to do online comes at a price that includes time and commitment to do it right. This is not a new revelation to me; I've known it all along, but this year, it matters more than ever before.
As a Professional Broadcaster with more than 50 years of combined knowledge and experience, I have spent the past 20 years trying to adapt to the transition from traditional broadcaster to webcaster and the translation from analog to digital. Sure, I could do like most people and throw just any kind of content together and post it on YouTube or any of the other social media outlets, but that just ain't me.
You see, my concept of being a Webcaster is based on the same standards of quality and truthfulness that I learned as a young broadcaster back in 1970, standards that today have been compromised, and the level of truthfulness we once had has been thrown under the bus all in the name of "Say Whatever You Want, Who Cares."
I'm going to cut this short for now, but I need to give you a little deeper explanation as to why I haven't started posting any webcast or podcast on this page, or any of my websites. It's because I'm still working on it, and I've had to move my relaunch date to Wednesday, June 26th to satisfy my own concerns that everything not only will be working as they should be but that you get the quality content you deserve, and I'll be able to look myself in the mirror and see someone who is still trying to do the right thing, in what he does.
