In 2013, we set out to motivate my fellow disabled Michiganders to ignore nay-sayers and pursue the life THEY desired. Focusing on the pillars of entrepreneurship, athletics, and employment, we created the BOOM Awards. BOOM is an acronym meaning Be Our Own Motivation.

To date, we've celebrated 30 such amazing barrier-busting disabled Michiganders and are about to highlight our next three.
