The constantly updated ingredients and offerings reflect what’s fresh during each microseason and represent the cooking styles from multiple regions of China—the long forgotten techniques showcased at pop-ups and now a brick and mortar in Oceanside. ☀️

Chef-owners extraordinaire, Nic Webber and Jacob Jordan, formerly of Michelin three-starred Addison and, prior to that, acclaimed Benu and Frasca, respectively, create beautiful and masterful dishes, going all in with flavor and flair, flawlessly. 🤌

Tomorrow night, a dream collaboration. Uka Sake is joining Matsu’s Chef William Eick and sake sommelier Kim Roxas for a spectacular six-course pairing dinner.

On offer: three organic Junmai Daiginjo sakes, a specially crafted Uka Black Label sake cocktail made by the drink master himself and toothsome Japanese dishes by Chef Eick himself. A perfect Wednesday night.

Uka Sake is elegantly crafted from its proprietary KR55 rice, Kokuho Rose, in partnership with Ninki Shuzo based in Fukushima, Japan. Matsu’s menu features impeccably sourced ingredients, highlighting Japanese tradition and local terroir, centered around full product utilization and low-waste, while evoking a sense of serenity and balance.
