I started singing the jingle the second I laid eyes on this picture…..like instantly lol. I’m sure I BEGGED my mom for it. Begged promised pleaded… whatever I needed to do to transform my 9-10 year old body into whatever it was I thought I needed to be. I never did get one, this was before we had electricity so instead my mom broke out (the now iconic) Jane Fonda cassette tape and books. We sweated together in that double wide trailer lol with me running to the scale every few minutes. I’m fu***ng pi**ed that I’ve gone my this far in life never really being comfortable in my body. I’m not unhappy- I just don’t think I’m where I need to be. Not yet anyway, still plenty of life left.

I know that this is just a GenZ meme. But I live in a county that this has deeply affected! I remember back in the day when it was different. I remember the pretty but sneezy tree farms that lined the highway and all the papermills that employed so many and now we are a shadow of what it once was and poverty has definitely taken over and for what for plastic that we can’t even use anymore?! Times being what they are I decided to watch Tank Girl again…because although fictional tough times breed tough people. As a society we all need to start breeding tougher. Teaching tougher. Learning resilience.🇺🇸💪side note: I think I gulped in that first scene with Lori Petty 🔥 whether I wanted to be her or wanted to make out with her lol honestly idk I’ve always admired you because she is a true original and if you haven’t seen the movie totally check it out. It has a bad ass soundtrack, and interesting based on a comic book apocalyptic story.

No matter your political affiliation this is wrong! Our veterans have been fighting a losing battle for quality, timely health care. Men and women that have served our country…..survivors of the atrocities of war. Sons and daughters that have witnessed their friends and comrades die for our country are deprioritized because of illegal immigrants?? This is atrocious!
