The Walrus Literary Journal is seeking your submissions for the 2015 issue! The Walrus Literary Journal is a Mills College annual publication of writing and art. We accept work from people of all ages, from all over the world. Our goal as a journal is to discover and promote works that speak to us. There is no payment for being part of our journal, other than localized fame and glory, nor is there

a fee to submit. DEADLINE: December 30th, 2014

GUIDELINES:

WRITTEN WORK
We review all forms of written work, such as fiction, poetry, plays, creative non-fiction, and social justice essays.

• A maximum of 10 pages per piece--we accept excerpts of longer pieces.
• Please double-space longform prose pieces.
• 1 inch margins and include page numbers.
• Do not include names or any identifying marks on the actual pages (we do blind reviews).
• No more than six written pieces from one person. ART
We accept all forms of art, such as photographs, comics, collages, watercolors, paintings, photographs and sculptures.

• Any images submitted must be high-resolution.
• Do not include names or any identifying marks in the documents.
• Optional: include an artist's statement with your submission. FOR ALL SUBMISSIONS:
All should include a brief cover letter with the following contact information: name, postal address (we need this on file so we can mail you the book), email address, and the name of the piece(s) you’re submitting. This can be the first page of your submission or attached as a separate document in the email.
• Tell us if the piece or work has been already published (some publications do not allow for reprinting of material).
• Include an author’s bio (2-3 lines about yourself).
