On my way to the chiropractor today to get an adjustment and offload the last two videos of the series I’ve now finished for my chiropractor.

I’m bringing everything with me today as a fail-safe!

Working on some editing over the weekend so that I can finish up the current series of videos that I’ve been working on lately.

This video was the last in the series that I had to complete!

This video has no audio because the original audio wasn’t usable so I’m hoping that I’ll be able to put some background music in place of what was the original audio that was taken out of the video.

This video isn’t very long but it shows that a back adjustment can be done with an electrotherapy machine if the same adjustment can't be done by hand.

Rendering out my latest project. This one is two parts.

I'm reaching the end of this series, it's been so long now that I have more videos on my computer that are completed that I've kept the raw footage of so it's hard to keep track of which ones I have left.

But after this one is done I should just have one more to do.

Rendering out my latest project in eight separate pieces.

The overall editing on this piece was pretty simple it just involved getting rid of a few camera shakes position changes and cutting out each time the chiropractor moved around the table in between adjustments.

This video shows the proper way to adjust the neck back and hips.

I’m glad to have this video done as it may be the best video that I’ve put together throughout this entire series. I’m really happy with how this piece turned out overall.

Starting the rendering process as I get closer and closer to being done with this series of videos. I still have one more video to do after I’m done with this one but I’m finally nearing completion on this one.

This video was a bit more time-consuming as it was done in parts and I still have to set up one video in particular so it will loop continuously but I’m almost done.

Working on some more videos today. They are the last videos of the current set that I’m working on.

These videos are chiropractic adjustment demonstrations so that future clients can see how they are done and the process of each adjustment and the care that goes along with them.

If you’re on the fence about whether or not chiropractic care is your best option for treatment then these are the videos for you. That way you can see adjustments take place before your very eyes so that you can get a better idea of how they are performed.

Got home from the chiropractor a while ago.

My appointment today went very well!

While I was there I was able to show him the latest piece that I have been working on. This one is the Tech Neck exercise that I've been working on for the last few weeks or so.

I finished it late last night, I discovered a sound in the background that I wanted to get rid of about a week ago so I fired off an email and I was able to get a piece of music sent to me for use in the video so I could get rid of a majority of the natural sound from the video itself as it was unneeded and replace it with a music track.

I’m exporting it right now!

I'm proud of how this one turned out!

The last two weeks or so have been spent working on another piece for the chiropractic office that I go to.

This piece covers an exercise that just about anyone can benefit from.

This video is a “Tech Neck Exercise” designed to help people who are looking down at their phones or even down at a computer at a specific angle.

The video itself didn’t take too long to edit. I’m still not 100% done with it yet as I still need to add the finishing touches but it should be there by next week.

I finished my latest run of testimonials a few weeks ago. Now I'm working on some miscellaneous pieces that are very short. A lot of them are demonstrations for exercises that you can do to maintain chiropractic adjustments for longer periods and maintain your body longer over time.

However, this is a demonstration for a new piece of equipment that uses a micro-current that sends small shockwaves through any part of the body that is being worked on.

I was going to save this post until next Tuesday for but since it's such a short video I decided against that.

This entire piece only runs for about 45 seconds but I feel that it accomplishes its goal in that short period.

The editing on the piece itself only took me about fifteen minutes to complete because it was pretty straight forward and there was hardly anything to the video itself

Talked to my chiropractor today during my appointment about future videos. I still have some videos to edit within this set that haven't even started editing yet. But one of the ideas that he had was to do a compilation of some of the testimonials I've worked on which will become a highlight reel for me and also double as an advertisement for his business.

I’m surprised I didn’t even think of it but as he was talking to me I began thinking in my head of what it might look like. All the video is already there it’s just a matter of piecing it all together. Needless to say I was more than intrigued by the idea.

More to come!

Went to the chiropractor this morning and got my adjustment which was a huge success. My neck was able to adjust properly as well as my back and my hip.

My body is now back in alignment!

While I was at my appointment today I was able to show the doc my latest video editing efforts which he liked. He also suggested a small change that I was able to implement and export so that I could give him the finalized video immediately after.

He then gave me yet another testimonial to edit. I still have more videos that he gave me previously to work on but for now, I’m starting the process on this one.

At least the good news is that with this one I’ll be able to enable dynamic switching between projects once again so that I can take certain elements from my last project and apply them to this one with ease.

I’m pleased with how everything turned out today.

Happy Thursday friends!

Just spent a little bit of time correcting a typo in the pictured graphic on two of the three testimonials within the series that I’m currently working on.

After I gave the first two testimonials to the chiropractor we watched them back in the office.

He happened to notice the typo at the time but luckily it was an easy fix. It would have been an even easier fix had I not accidentally deleted one of the projects which destroyed the dynamic link within the series. Not to mention that my entire computer crashed last week but I was able to salvage things.

At the time of the crash, I was in the middle or working on the last piece so I lost the other two and had to start from scratch on the third.

Luckily to fix the graphical error I was able to import a rendered version of one of the videos and take this graphic out of one and put it in the others to fix them.

Minus all of the headaches of last week, this entire process took roughly 15 minutes at the longest.

I’m happy with it.

This is how I spent my day off today editing testimonial 3 of 3. When I was editing the second video just last week I got the idea to turn on dynamic linking between projects within Davinci Resolve. That would allow me to copy and paste certain things from one project to the next that way they would all of these videos would look similar while remaining different.

However, the idea of doing that for this one sort of went out the window not to mention that I almost literally threw my entire computer out of a window. I would never actually do that but I wanted to at some point earlier today.

I couldn't use dynamic linking on this project however because I went to delete one of the videos that I had already completed and I accidentally deleted them both at the same time when I attempted to just delete one. After that, I had to take a break because I was frustrated.

This is a rough version of the video I just finished and while it may not look like the previous two videos look I'm happy with how this turned out.

I almost lost my entire computer today via the blue screen of death but thankfully I was able to bring it back and restore it after I called someone for advice on the problem.

Today's editing session was rewarding while it was also frustrating at the same time.

I have a day off from work so I'm spending some of it working on another testimonial video for the chiropractor that I see.

There were two videos shot with the same patient. One was detailed while the other was a little bit more vague. However, I like specific aspects of each video so I'm making an effort to make one coherent piece using both videos.

Last week around this time I was a little uncertain of myself because I'm editing in a program that I'd never touched before.

However, now that I've gotten the first video out of the way and I'm now onto the second, I'm a little bit more comfortable with Davinci Resolve and I like it so much more than adobe premiere.

Happy Thursday!

About a week ago when I was at my chiropractor's office for an appointment I brought an external hard drive along with me. My chiropractor told me that he had shot some videos and he asked me to edit them for him.

I've done similar videos for him in the past but it had been a while since we completed the last set that I worked on for him. The last thing I edited for him was in 2020 during the pandemic.

In 2021 I didn't do anything at all video-wise because of what I went through and am still going through today. If the opportunity to edit last year would have presented itself I would have done it.

This is my first video editing effort of 2022, I got a new computer last year intending to be able to use Davinci Resolve instead of Adobe Premiere. Therefore this is the first thing I've edited in Davinci Resolve. I spent roughly an hour and a half working on this short piece. It's not quite finished yet as I still have to overlay a lower third graphic but I'm happy with how this turned out.

I'm just happy to be sitting in front of a computer editing once again because it's what I love to do! I'm thankful that I haven't lost my passion for it because when I started doing this earlier today I was doubting myself and wondering if I would still care as much as I once did and it turns out that YES! I still do!

Happy Friday!

15 years ago today, I shot and co-produced my very first production as part of a college course. We had to come up with ideas for pieces that we wanted to produce and then it was our job to shoot direct and edit them together to make them happen.

At the time class just started and I really didn’t have anything at the time that I wanted to produce myself. However I sat in on a meeting during class one day and someone pitched an idea for a 9 episode series on motorcycle repair. When I heard the idea I instantly knew that I somehow wanted to be involved with it because it peaked my interest from a project standpoint.

Once the idea became fleshed out more it became a huge undertaking. She produced and oversaw 4 separate episodes all of which had their own separate co-producers and each episode needed one eighteen and a half minute segment that was shot out in the field produced as the bulk portion of the episode.

The rest of the time remaining after that was filled with studio segments explaining in greater detail some things that couldn’t be explained out in the field.

My job as the co-producer of this specific episode was to be there for the shoot to oversee the production and to direct the show as it was going in the field. We used final cut pros multi cam feature which let you sync as many as up to 9 cameras together (in this case 3) to all run simultaneously in order to make it look like the show was being done live remotely in the field.

We shot six hours in one day after that my job would become to edit the footage as if it were live and make a final 18 minute and 30 second segment from those six hours. I lost several days of editing due to syncing cameras but the end result was extremely rewarding and the final pieces (my episode got split into 3 parts because of how much usable material there was) are something that I’m still very proud of even 15 years later!

2020 Goals

-New computer ✔️
-End my relationship with Adobe so they no longer own my soul ✔️
-Upgrade to Davinci Resolve ✔️
-Relaunch Headliner Home Entertainment (again) ✔️

On January 1st I began to think that paying adobe a rental fee to use their equipment was no longer what I wanted to do. I had DaVinci resolve on an old laptop but the audio playback didn’t work because of a hardware issue inside of the old computer. My goal was always to upgrade my computer and ditch adobe premiere and switch over to resolve full time. I was able to use resolve as a color corrector but I had to do my editing inside of premiere because of the audio issue as it pertained to Resolve. When March hit, it slowed my progress down and made things harder given the circumstances that we all started to face and continue to face today. But 9 months into the year I finally achieved my goal and now I can resume business with a brand new piece of editing software that’s more stable and doesn’t have a subscription model. That feels good because eventually when I pay off the bill for the new computer I’ll be able to buy resolve and I will own it!

Putting the finishing touches on this video so that we can get it released and online as soon as possible.

This is the first time that I’ve edited anything in 2020. This is a very short piece to promote a specific package that’s being offered from now until the end of summer.

This piece is the final piece that I will be editing with adobe premiere this computer is pretty old so I’m going to upgrade it soon. Once I do that I’ll be switching over to DaVinci Resolve.

4 years ago today The studio that I used to produce and do all of my editing at closed its doors which halted headliner home entertainment. 4 years later (today) I’m now able to produce and do all of my editing from home!

Sorry for the lack of updates, it’s been a few months but I should be posting more soon because I have a few more projects that I’m going to be working on.

More to come...

Just changed the audio levels throughout the project that I've been working on since August of last year so that the music that I used isn't so harsh. It only took me 30 minutes, I then went and Updated my demo reel to include a sample of said project. It took me way more time to re edit my reel because adding in the new piece threw off the timing of everything but after making some small adjustments it all came together nicely. I will be posting the updated reel to my YouTube page within the next few days and updating this page to include the new version of the reel but for now I'm going to take a break since I've been staring at a computer screen for so long

isn’t a bad thing especially when you’re a and you do it anyway. I was told that the audio levels throughout this entire piece were too high. Now that I’m in the program I can see it for myself. I’ll be fixing it in the next few hours and re rendering the entire project so that I can resubmit this video series and FINALLY get it out to the public.

03/16/2020

Quick update, got an email from a client asking me if I could go back in to the project that I just completed for him and lower the audio volume because the music that I used is too loud. I told him that I would do it because it was something that I was meaning to do before I originally submitted the project but it totally slipped my mind.

However I hold my work to the highest quality possible and if I put both my name on it as well as my logo then it has to be the best that it can be. I’ll be working on doing this throughout the week through next weekend to get it done so I can resubmit the videos and we can FINALLY get it out to the public. I’m very proud of this series and I want it to look and sound the best that it can.

Once all of this is done My next task will be to update my demo reel to include one of these pieces in it because I’m very proud of how everything turned out.

I hope everyone is managing to stay safe and healthy during this time.

Update: since my last post I’ve delivered my latest set of videos to the client that I had been working with. I’ve been meaning to update my demo reel once again but I’ve been insanely busy with other things. Once my reel gets updated I’ll post it here once again. Plus I have some more things in the works. Stay tuned.

01/11/2020

I’ve been busy since Christmas which is why I haven’t updated the page in a bit. I’m waiting to deliver a series of videos to a client that I’ve been working on for the last five months and then after that I have more things in the works.
